Daddy Tim got me a horse (fauve deployant)
Anyone got the official, non-beta WatchOS 9 on their Hermès yet? If so, did you really not get the Nike watch faces?
Why on earth would someone put a Nike face on a Hermès watch? Make it look cheap so no one will steal it?I just posted earlier in another thread that I'm not seeing any of the Nike watch faces on my Series 7 Hermés running watchOS 9 either...
I think of the AW Hermes like it’s any other mechanical watch sold on Hermes dot com, which also would never include Nike branding.I just posted earlier in another thread that I'm not seeing any of the Nike watch faces on my Series 7 Hermés running watchOS 9 either...
By your logic one should also not use Apple faces—like say the white Metropolitan face with a gray inner dial—which are also available on “cheap” watches. Why on earth would someone put a Nike face on a Hermès watch? Make it look cheap so no one will steal it?
Same I just updated and there are no Nike faces.I’ve just updated my Hermès series 7 - can confirm, no Nike faces. Disappointing.

Sure I just mean this is how I think Hermes thinks about the whole thing. Een eetz soul, eet eez from Fronce and not Oree-gone.The „Hermès Watch“ itself looks exactly like any ordinary steel Apple Watch. And one of the best features of the silver stainless Watch is the incredible versatility and how easy it is to dress up or down. Leather band + Hermès face = dress watch. Sport band + Nike face = leisure watch. Best of both worlds.
But - unlike those „real“ Hermès watches - while you were rocking the Nike face on the Apple Watch Hermès no-one could ever tell it‘s an Hermès Watch, so no harm done to the brand.

Says the dude who has a stock apple face with an Hermes band. Why on earth would someone put a Nike face on a Hermès watch? Make it look cheap so no one will steal it?
They since updated the release notes to say “more” Apple Watches. They shouldn’t have said “all” watches on the video. There are some cool Nike faces and yeah, they said all watches would have them. Wouldn’t be against it happening.
Likely it’s a contractual matter. Nike and Hermes retain key rights to intellectual property that they license to or co-develop with Apple. The Nike faces are not “standard” Apple faces so likely both Nike and Hermes would have to agree for the faces to appear on Hermes watches.Look at the “New Faces” interface on watch when adding…maybe they want to wait until the “New Hermes Faces” and “New Apple Faces” have their time and then they’ll slide in the “New Nike Faces” at N when the time is right?
Or they add it later like this because it was a mistake?
A subtle distinction is that since Series 6 the Hermes is the only one with the true Space Black DLC finish. The „Hermès Watch“ itself looks exactly like any ordinary steel Apple Watch. How is that?A subtle distinction is that since Series 6 the Hermes is the only one with the true Space Black DLC finish.
Nope. Hermes is a competitor to Nike. We won’t see Nike faces on Hermes watches unless they do a partnership. (Their competitor list is incredibly long)Look at the “New Faces” interface on watch when adding…maybe they want to wait until the “New Hermes Faces” and “New Apple Faces” have their time and then they’ll slide in the “New Nike Faces” at N when the time is right?

Yes of course I was just coming up with an unlikely hopeful scenario.Nope. Hermes is a competitor to Nike. We won’t see Nike faces on Hermes watches unless they do a partnership. (Their competitor list is incredibly long)

This is the real answer.
Hermes makes sneakers and “athletic wear” as well.
That’s super weird they would have the vitrine and not sell them! You’d think the small number of Apple stores with Hermes means they’d all sell them. Sure it isn’t just because we’re in between seasons?other considerations on 22-23 straps, for the Attelage series version 42/44/45 nothing was presented, perhaps they realized that it does not sell enough. the diagonal H series presented only in 42/44/45, last year the Circuit was there for all versions, I don't think it had the hoped-for sale. As previously mentioned, the Nylon series also comes with a single piece. Now they are re-proposing the classic versions (Navy, Orange) at size 45. Last year there was the largest number of introductions between the two versions, this year on average, but I believe that for the future, they will present a series each year in conjunction with the presentation of the watch.
interesting note, at least for me, not being a frequent visitor to the apple shop, in Milan Piazza Liberty store, they do not sell Hermès straps and can only keep them on display. maybe it was known to you, but not to me.
practical question, which of you has a Hermès nylon strap that has been used for at least a year and that has discolored near the hardware?
