Yeah, Hermés is very …particular. Small Watch only for folks with smaller wrists, large Watch only for folks with larger wrists, “feminine” colors like pink only available on smaller Watch, etc.

Yeah I think they had some pretty double tours but the sold items listings doesn’t show anything. Why eBay!?

Having a silver Hermes case in both sizes is the only way to go. Definitely worth taking up 40% of one’s paired watches. It was like getting all these 38mm yoinks for a second time
An overwhelming majority of bands are made with silver stainless in mind but to someone like me not able to wear the smaller sized Watch I’d say having both silver and space black is the way to go; of over 600 bands (small Watch exclusives included) there are only about ten with hardware not available in silver or black variants, and some of those with black hardware are too stunning to ignore.

I picked up one. Just arrived today.
Shipped directly from apple. Factory sealed and has the Hermes security pattern only visible with black light. I agree with your idea that this is likely an apple employee acting as a middle ground between us and the apple employee store.
Likely against their terms of employment. Not sure why you’d risk a high paying six figure tech job but I will continue picking up bands as long as they continue to offer.
I work for a different tech company and I remember during the era of software on CDs, some dude bought millions of dollars of software from the employee store for pennies and sold it slightly below market cost.
Dude was arrested by the FBI and went to prison for over a decade. Anyways, I can confirm this is a great way to buy legitimate Hermes bands directly from apple for far below market price.
Could be a retail employee. I think they get the special deals portal too.
And Apple went out of their way to cut down on the EPP store order quantity for accessories so maybe they truly don’t care and just want to liquidate these bands that are already down to a hundred bucks in this other store.
But yeah surely against the letter of the terms and conditions

I think I found out that this seller just sells directly off qpromo, so it makes sense they took a minute to get to you. Way to make a quick buck i guess, but most definitely something that he'd get fired for if Apple found out.
qpromo is Apple's internal website where employees can purchase out of season and discontinued inventory, including watch bands, at stupidly steep discounts. I've been told that they often even have sport bands for as low as single digits.
Or so I've been told. I'm not an employee and all I know are things I've heard from others.
