My 45mm Series 9 with black Kilim is here!

And comparison with all other deployment buckle.

Indeed it’s some paper like pouch. Very bad quality and very ugly.

Looks like the Kilim is a bit shorter than the leather deployment ones? I’m hopeful, my tiny wrists were too small for the 45mm deployments but the regular single tour with an extra hole or two always worked. I’m hoping hard for the Kilim.

I find the length the same… I use the last hole for both and they both felt equally loose to me…

It’s probably the “net zero” commitment. Hopefully more people realize that “net zero” means spending more for a lower quality of living.
I wonder if the new leather bands purchased directly from Hermès will retain the old, or also come with the new paper-like pouch.

For those that have or are getting the Kilim—what is the material like? Rubbery, firm, do you think it’ll stand up well to accidental bumps, etc? Very curious.

Just got mine and it feels like the sport band. Not surprising since they are both made out of fluoroelastomer. Also, the cleaning suggestions from Apple suggests its pretty resilient.

For Hermès bands:
  • Rubber: Clean the band with a nonabrasive soft cloth and fresh water. If necessary, you can use soapy water to remove stains. Hermès rubber bands are swimproof and aren't sensitive to light or cosmetics.
  • Knit: Clean the band with a nonabrasive soft cloth. If necessary, lightly dampen the cloth with fresh water and gently rub the band to get rid of stains. Hermès knit is not swimproof, so you should avoid getting it wet.
  • Woven: Clean the band with a nonabrasive soft cloth. If necessary, lightly dampen the cloth with fresh water and gently rub the band to get rid of stains. Hermès woven bands are swimproof.

Received my Series 9 with kaki Bridon single tour and ordered a orange kilm as well.

Love the white logo patch on the back of the bridon. Very premium textile feel.

Rubber on the kilm is super soft but feels and looks very rugged.

New cloth band protector is being used on included watch bands and new stand alone bands. It’s fine and maybe not as bad as I thought. Remember the days when the watch case came in suede protector but now its just a paper protector?

I have one more surprise band that should arrive next week 🤫

somehow I think the Kilim rubber feels a bit softer than the orange sports band. Maybe it’s the thickness? Somehow the softness made it feel more premium, wonder if it’s psychological. But definitely the subtle H design makes it looks really good. It’s my new fav band now.

I’m most curious about the Bridon band! Can take some close ups, and with your hand, if you have the time.

I believe the Kilim bands are the only Apple Watch bands that are Swiss Made, which adds a bit more of a unique twist to them. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

My Kilim Noir is due to arrive later today. So jealous of you all on the other side of the International Date Line.

Received my Black KILIM Ss s9.
KILIM is absolutely amazing, very soft but sturdy, premium feel, looks nice, feels nice. Recommended!
With they made a titanium version of the Kilim. I’d love to get it for my Ultra 2. Just so tired of the Series design (5-9) and terrible battery that I can’t do go back.

I can understand. I couldn’t settle with ultra. Too big and bulky for me. Series design is perfect for me. But titanium version of kilim would be amazing I believe . But most certainly that will never happen.

Yeah it definitely won’t happen. And I definitely won’t use a mismatched band.

Thanks for pointing this out. The fact that it’s Swiss made means it’s not the same as the normal flouromaster sport bands.

It’s also my favourite new Hermès band.

I just placed an order for the orange one.

So I'm absolutely not sure how to feel about this. This band could not be found anywhere in all of Southern CA for nearly a week, and the website has said to check availability today. I'm having my coffee and check this morning soon after 8am and lo and behold there is *1* of these but it's at the Apple Store in Irvine, 90 miles away. I buy it and then check again, sure enough, no more, it seemed to be the last one. I figure I'll drive up to OC tomorrow and pick it up and have a nice lunch somewhere by the beach, weather permitting.

Here it is seven hours later and I still don't have any pickup confirmation email and the order details still say your item will be ready shortly. Granted I know it's iPhone release day, the Apple Stores are likely veritable zoos, so either they're swamped and haven't processed my pickup yet, or their inventory system was wonky and the band isn't actually available there.

Should I be looking at this glass being half full or half empty?
