I read it’s all part of their plan. Treat you like 💩 because the psychology behind it caused people to want to come back as if they’ve got something to prove?

Horrible IMO. Don’t sell used crap as new. People on sleyBay have more integrity than that.

I think i have a better relationship with the ebay money back guarantee than my own father

Someone who used to post on here had their Hermes fedex delivery disappear and I don’t think Hermes ever changed their position from “we don’t believe you/go away”

It’s honestly disgraceful. I never order apple stuff from them unless it’s a last resort.
Problem is Apple is sold out of most of the Hermes Apple Watch stuff lol

I had zero issues with my return. That said, I did take photos of the item as delivered and returned it next day. And I totally believe what others say - I have had similar experiences with other luxury retailers. They are sadly not above trying to foist off substandard product on a less than confident buyer. You simply must trust in yourself and be firm. If it's not to your satisfaction, it's their problem and they know it. Also I always buy any such items with AmEx.

What's worse: it's total BS. The margins on these items are huge. They can easily eat the cost of their returns.

Ok, gotcha. 😊 Well I suppose the „value proposition“ of Hermès vs regular Watch is all about the straps and faces. In my experience they do elevate the experience considerably, but how much that is worth to you (or how little you care about the difference because it‘s all chump change for you) is very much up to the individual buyer. Me personally, I will have to face that question (again) next year with the (presumable) re-design of the regular Series. Right now I‘m squarely in camp Ultra.

But you could ask the same question about mechanicals. Above a certain $ threshold, you pay for minimal differences at best (and name recognition / prestige the most). Why get a 8.000 $ (or 80.000 $) mechanical when a 2.000 $ mechanical will look 99% as nice (at least to the naked eye; and your eye is naked 99,99% of the time)?

In the end, wrist time is a limited ressource. If you decide that the functionality of the Apple Watch is so important to you that you‘ll wear it as your daily driver either way, why not get the best-looking, most luxurious one?

Just dispute it. You’ll win and keep the band lol. That’s what I did with an Apple Watch a few years ago.

I followed their policy to a T. They denied t. I disputed it and of course won!

Hi All, thought I’d check in here for some opinions/advice on a recent purchase from the Hermes website. Ordered a Fauve Barenia single tour 45mm this week (was quite surprised to see it so didn’t hesitate to order it). Does this look like it’s not brand new to anyone else?

Best of luck dealing with customer service, I’ve heard they’re a bit off-putting.

Yeah, the blasé attitude is all part of the “luxury experience“ (or so it seems).

Also, the Watch bands are about the cheapest items Hermès sells, so inquiring about those automatically ranks you in the „bottom feeder“ tier of their customer base.

One of these days I have to get all my bands out and take pics of them. I have quite a collection now. I think I have 12 or 13 leather ones, 1 jumping, the Black and Orange Hermes sports bands, and now the 5 Kilims.

Love your collection!! That’s a good idea to change them weekly. I was changing my kilims every 2 days. Weekly is a much better idea.

But honestly, It feels weird that it costs way more than the AirPods itself, and I charge my AirPods with MagSafe , and I don’t like them hanging on my neck. What do you guys think?

Strap is too long imho, would swap in the shorter matching strap from an AirTag Bag Charm or something like that.

Not a fan of the design at all (built in loop, no speaker cutouts for APP2, back of the case). Easy pass for me. Love the color though.

I have my Memoji on my AirPods case. That Hermes case would block it.

I did get the stand alone strap a few months ago and wear them around my neck more than I thought.

You think that is bad, yesterday before I went out for the first time I wore 2 different watches and 3 different bands.

Then went to walk my dog and changed back to my Ultra with a sports band, got home put on the Hermes with a Jumping. I then went to football and changed back to my Ultra with a red and white band to match my team’s colours. When I got home, put back on the Hermes with the Toile H band
