I couldn’t disagree more about the rubber being cheap. I find it premium as hell, super comfortable, and daily driver versatile (not that I ever would, but you could wear it through a 5k run, pool laps, shower, and a business casual sport coat/open collar dinner without ever taking it off).

It’s also Swiss made, so comparing the Kilim to Apple’s China sport bands/solo loops isn’t even in the same universe. I have a factory rubber band on my Tag and the Hermes Kilim quality is just as good, maybe even a bit better.

Mine has easily become my daily driver without even realizing it, as you can see from my log book from the past two months. I went from band swapping with my collection almost daily to realizing “yeah, the Kilim will be perfect for today”.

Just my opinion, of course. And I know the Kilim isn’t for everyone. I’m also home sick, so my Nike black/pure platinum sport loop is providing the comfort for today.
I just discovered from your post that you can log you bands. My new obsession now lol.

I personally don’t understand this forum
Member drew he constantly puts down everything Hermes and is kinda passive
Aggressive in posts saying how terrible the Kilim band is and then tells people good luck enjoy it. I am not a fan of the twile bands but i would never constantly bash them. It’s called to each its own and

omg. You read my mind. Drew constantly bashes them and I was think exactly what you posted. Thank you!!!! So tired of seeing the Kilim bashed when from what I can remember he’s the only member that doesn’t like it.
To be fair you put down the bridon in multiple posts as well in the week after it launched and called it cheap etc. so this is history repeating itself. I was simply trying to share my experience and how much I enjoyed it.

Let’s just all get along. We all have preferences and we’re allowed to share them. They’re watch bands. Let’s not lose sight of that. Someone else doesn’t like your band? Doesn’t matter. All that matters is you enjoy it.

This thread doesn’t need to be a Paris circle j but users reading the room is my, and i suspect many current owners of Apple Watch Hermès’, preference.

I think the Kilim band is nice for everything but heavy work outs. It’s fine for basic workouts, but not HIIT, running, or cycling.
I find the Apple sports band and even the Ultra ocean band more comfortable for me, because the deployment buckle slightly digs into my wrist (I had the same problem with the previous versions of the deployment buckle). Overall, the Kilim is a nice non-leather addition to the Hermes line.
Looks as uncomfortable as it felt on me. Personally I couldn’t handle the digging into my wrist with this band so I ultimately returned it. I liked the band, but at the end of the day it’s cheap rubber and uncomfortable so it was an easy choice for me. Good luck!

I was sharing my experience with the Kilim band. In fact, I said I liked the Kilim band in multiple posts although it’s not for me mostly due to the deployment buckle - cold stainless, not a perfect fit, and how it digs into my wrist. (I bolded for emphasis in my original posts above). I guess liking a band and saying it’s nice is a form of bashing and hating everything Hermes?

I do find it funny that Hermes releases rubber and now all of a sudden “rubber” is premium lol. The premium part of the band (IMO) is the deployment buckle. I consider my Rolex rubber band cheap and I mean I guess its high end, but at the end of the day rubber is not a high end material in my opinion.

I made an observation about the band, didn't
say I hate it. So let’s get that straight. I ALSO SAID IT maybe once or twice, NOT in response to EVERY TIME SOMEONE else POSTS ABOUT THE KILIM. huge difference!

Having been apart of this thread for all 490 pages, ive seen countless posts ripping Apple rubber bands and rubber in general. Praising the leather bands. Now Hermes makes a rubber band, at a 90000% markup no less, and nothing but praise for it lol. Many of yall are hypocrites.

Rubber is fine, The Kilm is awesome. I wear my Hermes black sport band 60x more than any leather or stainless steel one.

Last I will say on this subject is that if you need a break from a forum poster, click their profile and select the “ignore” button.

I think some of the people on here could use a break from each other and hope this calms things back down.

I’ve never seen the thread this busy this many weeks after a release. Normally people go back into their dens for winter until the spring band release 😂

Thank you to everyone for your understanding to keep this a kind and welcoming place for all views. It’s been a great 490 pages and look forward to another 490 pages with all of you.

New strap day for me! Though it’s a strap released quite some time ago.

I had the Fauve Barenia, but thought I wanted a Gold Swift in Attelage version as well. Still not sure if I like that asymmetric metal design at the top though!

Putting it side by side with other browns - Gold, Fauve, and Ebene.

I keep looking for band storage but maybe just using the boxes is best 😅
I have 3D printed an open 10 band holder that I designed, but only put my non Hermes bands in it. Maybe V2 I may put some felt or similar in to place the Hermes in, but the design is to have them the side not flat. I'll see if I can find a pic and edit the post

For me the appeal of the Kilim band is that I can wear it daily without fear I’m ruining it. Plus the look of it is so different than any other band out there. Since I started wearing the Kilim I have actually been stopped by a few people who recognized the band and they asked me about it. Never ever happened with any other Hermes or Apple band I have worn. I can’t wear my Hermes leather bands as daily drivers since I’m always washing my hands or doing something that could damage the leather. Since I work part time at home I don’t get a chance to wear my Hermes leather bands all that much. Another appeal of the Kilim was the deployment band since I have worn Rolex’s my entire adult life and the deployment buckle was always my favorite.

Do think a “rubber “ Hermes band is worth $349, not really, but then are the Hermes leather bands worth $379 or the Apple braided solo loops worth $99, not really.

By adding the deployment buckle to the Kilim Hermes made it more premium in my opinion and because it’s the first non-leather Hermes band to have it. I like the way Hermes came up with this type of band for Apple to sell since they won’t sell leather products. I also like the way that Hermes continues to sell the leather bands on their website because they recognize that people still want to buy their leather bands regardless of Apple’s policy. I think that was pretty smart marketing and design move. I for one never expected a band like the Kilim or for that matter the Bridon band either to be released, Hermes kept us on our toes.

I also think, (despite the fact that every year we bat around the idea that the Hermes/Apple relationship is being discontinued), that Hermes is vested in this product line as I think it’s the first time they launched an actual photograph marketing campaign for these bands when they added photographs of people wearing the various bands to their website. Also now for the first time they have bands made of different materials, leather, rubber, fabric in the Bridon, and the materials used in the Toile bsnds. So I think they do recognize that there is a demand for their premium Apple bands out there, even though it’s not the cost or profit margin of a Birkin bag.

I look forward to seeing what other types of designs they come up with for their Apple bands in the future.

I use these 3D printed trays which I had customised by the seller I purchased them from on Etsy. I absolutely love them, as they show off the bands nicely, while being much more space efficient than having them laid flat.

That is nice! Do you have the .STL file or did you purchase it already made? If not, if you would be kind enough to give me the dimensions, I'll see what I can come up with?

100%!

The Kilim was a slow burner for me. First impression was it was nice, but rubber and do I want to spend £300 on a piece of rubber. Gradually it grew on me and now I am in love with it! As you said it probably isn’t ‘worth’ £300/$350 but it is as it gives me pleasure. I can wear it whilst not worrying about trashing it, and as I work from home full time, it gives my watch a bit of elegance without being over dressy.

I think it pairs nicest with the lucky horse. Well today it does. The beauty of the Apple Watch is it pairs best with whatever mood you are in!

I purchased them printed, but the seller, Ben, has published the base model on Printables. I had my version customised to have more slots, deeper slots to accommodate the Hermès buckle and Apple Link Bracelet, and a custom width. His Etsy store is here.

By the way, does anyone here have any of the small leather goods range items from Hermès, wallets or cardholders etc.
I only have these - Tournis Tresse bracelet. In gold leather with palladium plated H and Noir with Gold Plated H

The gold leather is a bit worn now and can’t seem to clean it up, but i like the patina (lol dirt) it has.

I used to collect Calvi’s when I carried 7+ cards (2010-2015), but loved all the different leathers - Epsom, Fauve, and Mysore), 4 card holders (added pics), and their notebooks - still have this laying around somewhere. If I find it ill take a pic - think it was Gold Epsom.

Also, I really like their loafers and belts too. Only found pictures of my 4 card holders though. Looking for others, but most of them were pre 2010.

It's the Calvi I was thinking of, but will look at the wider range - just need space for more than 4 cards and the Calvi seems a bit excessive as it's just a dumping ground with no segregation.
