Have my first Kilim band (Rouge. I remain confused about the Kilim bands. @i505 and @Dstopsie have been super helpful. Perhaps others can weigh in? Do you use the same hole as the Jumping or Hermes leather bands? Snug or loose? If the indentation from the clasp shows, is it too tight?

Yep switch between Orange and Navy (but prefer Orange) and put on the Fauve Barenia occasionally too.

I'm a 45mm and 3rd smallest hole on the leather and kilim. No difference for me but that's my experience.

Only band that has fit oddly was the briton. it's smaller

Both the Kilim and Fauve Barenia use the deployment clasp and on both, I use the 3rd smallest hole.

The clasp and one of the loops does leave a mark but not too much.

I don’t like bands too tight so the 3rd hole is pretty good for both bands.

I’ve been similarly on the fence about the Kilim on the basis of this forum, so your post is… helpful? Depending on how I look at things?

Also an Ultra wearer, also felt like the chunkier appearance would go well with my watch. I own a handful of Hermes bands - a few leathers and two jumpings (which are amongst my most-worn bands, especially the Kraft/Orange), but I haven’t paid full price for any of them. So the idea of paying more for the Kilim than I did for, for instance, my Noir deployment leather is hard to take.

That said, everyone here is very convincing about it and I would definitely wear it more often than I do my leather ones… especially coming into the Australian summer…

Well, I hesitated and the orange Kilim is out of stock on the Australian Apple Store again. Will have to wait anyway.

So my replacement orange Kilim arrived. It was delivered by DHL this time, who were actually half an hour early 😁

On my leather deployment I’m on the third hole from the end. On the Kilim I’m on the fifth. The fourth was clearly too loose for me. The fifth maybe a nudge tighter than I’d like, but I can get a finger under the strap no problem.

The design is terrific and the colour is great. There is quality here. Check out this detail: the holes are not drilled vertically downwards, they are at an angle because the metal tongue thing enters them at an angle. This eases pressure on the hole and means it shouldn’t distort over time. You don’t get that attention to detail on the sports strap.

It is less comfortable than the leather. It is soft, but it’s chunky and not a single smooth strip like the leather or sports, so there are edges to dig in to your skin. It does leave little marks on my wrist but nothing too deep or that bothers me.

I find it much easier to get off than the leather deployment. When you click the deployment the plastic makes the whole strap spring open, which I like.

It obviously makes a different statement (especially being orange) than my plain leather strap. But I like that.

I think I’m very likely to keep it. I think it’s worth your while trying it out.

If I do keep it, I will try to sell the Hermes orange sport strap. This is clearly far superior. It makes the sports look like a child’s strap. Though the sports is more comfortable.

@hufflematt I have a question. When you talk about tightness and say third or fifth hole from the end, what does “from the end” mean? Is that from the top nearer the connecting lug or from the tip?

Great to hear, very similar thoughts to how I felt when I received it this week. I know some are asking, typically sports bands I wear at the 3rd hole from the tip end. With the kilim though, I’m on the 6th hole from the tip end. I do like my bands fairly snug and hate when the watch moves around too much.

Anyways I have a lime epson. Slight wear on the loops but otherwise fine and still have the original product box. 1st owner and purchased at Hermes in Seattle.

I’d part for it for $5,000 (mods, this is not an offer or transaction proposal). Otherwise I’m not breaking up my collection for nothing 😆

I’m gonna be controversial and say that the Kilim bands suit the Ultra more as they are chunkier bands.

Agreed, I like the chunkiness of the Kilim goes really well with the ultra. Any chance you can take a photo with the Navy and Orange combined (a two tone combination), really curious about this one as my Navy is ordered as well.

Also try the app "Facer" it should allow you to download an Hermes style watch face as an option . I use that watch face by them on a daily on my ultra since it looks so elegant (see pics on previous page).

This was a long long time ago when I downloaded the an Hermes face on the Facer app, not sure what it was called. But if you search for “Hermes”, it shows multiple faces which look like the one I downloaded.

The cool thing is that once set, you can restore that face to a new Apple Watch with the usual apple restore. This is the second watch that I have the face on and it automatically downloaded the Hermes face that I had on my first titanium (non ultra) watch previously.

Well I certainly don't blame you 🙃, it's an incredible color and I certainly wouldn't want to be considered a homewreaker! Maybe I'll have some luck someday on the japanese sites, eBay, poshmark, facebook marketplace, etc. If there's any other places you recommend then please let me know. Oh and yea, I put my email addy like a true newbie and got a gentle reprimand from our benevolent monitor.

Love the Kilim on the Ultra. I’m particularly fond of the Kaki, which has a good vibe going with the Titanium of the watch.
