Hermès Edition Owners Thread

I feel the current heresy du jour is to say one doesn’t have interest in the Kilim band. 😛

I ended up buying the Toile H off a seller on eBay, new in box. It was $299 (vs $349 MSRP) and I had some eBay and Apple Pay offers on my AmEx that I think should knock at least $35 off that, assuming the offers kicked in correctly.

And, maybe this is a bit insane to admit, but I only did it because I had a dream last night about buying the Toile H, so when I saw the stackable credit card offers (hopefully) and a seller on eBay selling an unopened box, I couldn’t resist.

You know you're addicted when you start dreaming about them 😁

Sounds like you got a good deal via the eBay one! That at least hurts the wallet a little bit less 😇

I still haven't worked out how I should sell my band (maybe eBay), although it's possible that when it arrives I'll see it and won't be able to part with it!

Ultra bands & braided solos are $149, so I could buy some combination of three of those, plus a regular/Nike sport band or loop, and still have $30 left over. When was the Hermes version launched? Was it available as a series 0 when the solid gold was available?

Impressed with the feel of the band, will fiddle around with sizing. Have a couple of meetings tomorrow, so feels like a good day to take it for a spin.

Incidentally: part of what got me off the fence yesterday was seeing it go from ‘delivery in two days’ to ‘delivery in a week’. Given that the Orange has been out of stock for weeks, didn’t want to see the Noir go too. (They were my two favourite colours of the range.)
And I noticed today that Noir is also now out of stock on Apple Au - so, phew!

Yeah, the length of the double tour even on 45mm is restricted by the length of the band box so it’s not much larger than the size of the 41mm variant and folks with larger wrists aren’t able to enjoy it. I’ve been tempted but I’d need to “double attelage” swap it with the extended lugs and punch an extra sizing hole or two if that’s even possible, not really worth it. Seems like it only barely fits those on the smallest sizing hole on a 45mm leather single tour, if at all.

I think the regular Apple Watch was launched during the spring of 2015, so by the time Hermès edition launched in the fall I already had an Apple Watch so I must of not been paying attention.
 
Received my 41mm Toile H today! (And the eBay and Apple Pay credits hit too!)

So, it seems that it fits best on me on the smallest hole. I'm a bit surprised, if only because the Bridon double tour is almost too small. If I ever bought one of the leather single tours, I wonder if I'd have to punch a hole in it... just sort of unexpected.
