If Celeste is analogous, I think the kilim would be warmer than the swift

If those size leaks are correct (42mm/46mm), then I suspect Apple moves away from 2 different band sizes. No reason to have a slightly smaller 41mm width if 42mm is the bottom end. Unless they increase the width of the 44/45/46 band. I can see them pushing a unified size - for less waste etc. I hadnt thought about it honestly.
Yeah this was my conclusion too. 42mm is kinda right in that middle size where it's big for a 41mm band but small for a 45mm band. With clever form around the curves where the band slit is, you could theoretically make either size work.

Majin Bu posted a graphic that, if to scale, could heavily imply it uses the bigger band size.

Shown above is a 42mm Cocoa Sport Band. Smaller band size would still exist, just only on the SE watches.

Now, granted, this is some heavy speculation and not very scientific, without seeing the actual thing we're not going to know for sure. Personally, I could see them go either way. Unifying the band sizing to be one size fits all would really make sense, however it puts a lot of collectors out of luck. Maybe Apple tried to find a happy medium, surely most collectors are 44/45 anyway.

Less than 5 days! I do think the removal of the s/m and l/g pieces from band boxes shows us that Apple isnt afraid of just jettisoning something that is expected. Agree with them keeping a SE/lower end watch that probably has two sizes at least for a while/transition year etc. Exciting times!

I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what's real and what's not. Hopefully all of the good and none of the bad?

I'm looking forward mostly to the rumors I've heard from different corners of China about that possible Ceramic Edition Series 10 which will finally bring S5 Edition prices down to $200 or less where they really should have been at for the past few years.

Of course, if a new one's coming out, I'd spring for that over the S5.. but you gotta go collection complete eventually, right?

Just a reminder that it also took Hermès some time to update its website with the leather bands after the live announcement by Apple ended last year.

Also, for US customers, I noticed Hermès website says their distribution centers are closed Monday and Tuesday. That means bands ordered will likely not arrive until Friday the earliest (provided they ship with 2-Day FedEx, as they’re accustomed to do).

The very slow wait for the demure reverse photo angle the Apple Store doesn’t post 😌

There we have it, Regatta as a new Hermès watch face.

Ooh sailboat themed?

Love how she links to my Beton post just wildly speculating about Ti lugs.

For the record I think they could let Hermes (and I guess MoBu) keep steel and it could match a mirror finish Ti?

Also seems highly unlikely they’d bring the Hermes face to Ultra unless Hermes faces are widely distributed like Nike and no more Hermes watch.

Some boat scarves:

I really hope we don’t lose SS polished look for Hermes. Was considering spending more for the Hermes this time with thinner watch + ultra thin bezel to for the elegant look. SS has such a premium look and feel.

That latest article has some wild and random speculations. There is very little chance that Hermès faces will be available on non Hermes watches. Nor is it likely that a Hermès band will be made for the ultra.

The exclusivity and selling point of Hermès watches is lost as soon as they do that.

But with rumours that the Ti on the iPhone will be polished, it does seem likely the Hermès watch will also have polished Ti and have similar reflections as the current SS ones?

Yeah I don’t think Gurman or our blog gods realize how seriously we take our wrist computer’s more jewelry-coded aspects haha.

I think Gurman throws junk at the wall more maliciously just to sell Bloomberg terminals, meanwhile MR or The Other Site is a more benign symptom of ramp week.

Overall I think the “thinner” aspect of the new watch is really gonna grab the wider public’s attention.

Don’t forget that we also “lost” space black for the regular watch when it became an Hermès exclusive. If this happens to SS, we’re fine and I think that would fit the brand perfectly.

Also what’s with 9to5 now guessing 44/48 as new case sizes? They’ve now guessed 42/46, 44/48 and 45/49

I’m betting it’s 43/47!

Yeah I wouldn't like that, but also I guess I don't care? Not like I can buy new Hermes anyway.

The milanese loop redesign concerns me since it doesn't show a perfect polish, implying the watch wont have one either.

a color coating is vastly different from a material imo. They'd simplify and just do a polished ti if the series watches are more brushed. They wouldn't hold onto steel.

That animal-based lid looks awfully Etain-coded
Yeah it's that Hermes leather mat I was posting about a few pages ago. I don't have any hermes leather other than noir, but checking bandbreite it's Etain af. I guess it was used very briefly in select Apple Stores which sold the launch Hermes watches. I don't have any pictures to back this up though.

It fits the 10 watch charging "shuttle" from the demo launch. Maybe Apple Stores that sold Hermes had a special Hermes shuttle for those try ons?

1725674961004.jpeg

Compared to the blue it's so much more premium. I mean, it feels like the same leather (Which, I'm told, Apple sourced the leather for all their store mats from Hermes... though again, I have no proof for this.) but the Etain color is way easier on the eyes.
