Apple said so at last year’s iPhone launch when they replaced the leather accessories with FineWoven. It’s part of their “carbon neutral” strategy. But apparently their license agreement with Hermes still lets the latter market leather bands for Apple Watch.
Where did they point to recycleability though

That green! It really is a beauty. Now I’m torn. I was going S10 w/ Beton Kilim… but those bezels. Especially coming from the S8 in black stainless. Also, I sort of realized while an all-weather all-activity band is useful, I love Hermes for leather. So maybe just a new band update for me with the green Hapi. I do love an attelage double (thin wrist club here too haha). Quandary!
It’s so nice right? I hope I can get this with the watch in the UK. Alternatively, I’m heading to the US for thanksgiving so could buy the cheapest watch + band option from the UK and hopefully get the band when I visit in November.

Curious — did anyone get the Ultra Hermes?
I ordered it and the black ultra. I can’t decide. I like the Hermes watch faces, but i prefer a black watch, although the natural titanium has grown on me. I feel like the Hermes watch faces may not look right on the ultra.

Natural is PVD. Silver is not PVD. As @athousandbands put it, polishing titanium takes away most of that warmth. (Pretty sure Ultra is anodized in some way to give it that boosted color too.) Take a look at those polished Ultra watches on eBay and you’ll see what i mean, the warmth disappears almost entirely.
I heard that the natural titanium is a coating. Apple does it because natural titanium has color variations. Apple needed to standardize each batch, so the coating is the color that people would most likely think of when they think of natural titanium. At least that is how it is done on the phone. i also think there is a coating on the watch is well. The coating improves their scratch resistance.

Unfortunately they will call to mind people installing apps to mimic watchfaces on their Ultra

I noticed that an extra orange rubber strap ("sport band") is included on the Hermés website. Is this also included with all Hermés watches purchased through Apple? I don't see anything about the extra strap on the Apple Store website.

Included with every Apple Watch Hermes since the beginning. * black was included for the SBSS

I think all Hermes watches get all the Hermes watch faces. I asked support that questions and was told yes. There is zero reason to complicate the process of updates.
Apple Watch Ultra faces are not on the standard Apple Watches
So it’s not unreasonable to think the Apple Watch Hermès Ultra face will not be on the standard Apple Watch Hermès.
Apple support has given me false and incorrect information before.

I’m assuming there’s no way an Apple Watch without ocean features like the Ultra gets the Maritime face

The hermes splash page calls it an “exclusive dial”

And hard agree that Apple Support aren’t briefed on things like this, especially this early

Didn’t know that, thanks! This is my first time contemplating on buying a Hermès Apple Watch, so I’m still learning! :)

I made a thread about this, but asking here if anyone might have any more information about this (even though it’ll be much clearer after the watch has been released): I’m strongly contemplating on cancelling my order (42mm in natural titanium with link bracelet) and going for a Hermés edition watch. Mostly because of the finish looking like regular stainless steel, as it’s easier to match with clothing, but also for the Hermés dials. I’d really like to wear it with Apple’s link bracelet and perhaps even the Milanese loop. Do you think the previous stainless steel bracelet/loop will be a perfect match with the new Hermés edition in silver titanium?

The new Hermés s10 looks identical to the stainless steels versions. From first hand photos but yeah we gonna have to wait 6 more days. I’d say it’s 99% close

Well, the main issue for me will be to get my hands on the previous link bracelet in stainless steel. Apple doesn't seem to sell them anymore (replaced by the new ones matching the titanium series)... 😅

eBay is your friend! I wish I had bought my link bracelet off eBay instead of brand new through the Apple Store.

I just bought today the space black link brazalet before they discontinue it next week. Cause I think it might be a better fit for there black ultra, just in case.
I always wanted to have a space black Hermes too, and this one matched perfectly.

I was at the Hermes store today. Saw Jaune D'or and Vert Criquet bands. They are such beautiful colors. This photo doesn't do it justice. You just have to see it in person.

Also, I think I'm the luckiest girl because I probably just purchased the last Rose Azalee band in the entire world!

It's not. Hermes is a non-coated silver achieved by a simple polished titanium. That's the color that titanium is after polishing, to PVD coat it would just cost more and not give you any noticeable difference anyway.

I agree Hermes is expensive for most people, however there are multiple ways to look at this. One, you have the folks here who simply make enough money to justify it. Hermes is a luxury brand, after all. Two, you have the people who will save up for it, because to a select few weird people (myself included) the Hermes Apple Watch is somewhat of a dream to be chased. Three, you can look for one secondhand or on sale. There's going to be a decent number soon here in the next few months, mostly after Christmas. Unwanted gifts will hit eBay for 50-70% MSRP. Lastly, you can wait until the next model comes out, where you'll run into people like Dstopsie who will sell their old one to upgrade for real real cheap.

I own an Hermes watch, but mine's a Series 7, and it's got a pretty ugly nick in it exposing the silver stainless underneath the DLC coating. The age and the blemish are the reason I got a pretty good deal, only paying $300 or so for the watch, band, and box. I'm with you, I'd like an Hermes Series 10, but the price is out of my range, and I understand not seeing much bang for your buck. I'll get an Hermes s10, eventually, but I'll be buying one at minimum a year from now when we start seeing those $500 deals.

As for the leather bands, yeah, I'm not really a fan of the fabric and nylon bands. For Hermes, they look cheap to me, and I think the majority of that admittedly baseless opinion is just that I think they look ugly. I prefer leather as it's a more traditional and luxurious band, but these days it's slim pickings. Thankfully most old leather bands will still interface well with the 42/46mm Series 10 and can be used no problem. Bonus is that those older bands are pretty cheap on eBay and similar resell sites if you know where to look.

All this to say, you can get an Hermes watch, even if it's not the newest one. Dip your toes in the water. Shop around. Nearly 10 years of Hermes Apple Watches means there's plenty of Hermes to choose from.

I have the insane hope to one day have one of every stainless (and titanium now i guess) color option ever released with its accompanying link bracelet and milanese loop. I've got Graphite, Gold 1, Gold 2, and Silver, though my silver is pretty outdated so I'll be looking at a S9 (or S10 Hermes maybe?)

Natural and Slate both look awesome and I'll undoubtedly be looking to grab one of each in the distant future. I think the one I'm going to hunt down closer to launch though is the new gold titanium. It's an awesome in between color of the two gold stainless generations, and that matching link bracelet is a winning combo.

Don't need to limit yourself to one watch, that's why Apple gives us 5 pairing slots. Grab one, decide later on if you still want the other, then hit up eBay or the MacRumors Marketplace to find the other one. That's my plan.
I’m confused. The Hermes model is Titanium? I thought it was stainless steel.

This paragraph on the Hermès website seem to suggest they may send the watch case first the and Grand H band separately later? I remember someone in this thread mentioning it but is it confirmed?

Hello everybody,

I have an Ultra 2 watch and went to Hermes store to buy Clou De Selle leather band but they didn't have it. Also searched on the website and didn't find it.

Do you know if they cancelled this edition?
