Is there anyway to tell if this is a real band or not?

based on the writing on the clasp, I’m thinking it’s not

Come on Apple I have vouchers burning a hole in my pocket!
Looks like Hermes has it on their site? I know you’ve got Apple gift cards but I feel like Kilim bands rarely refresh from my experience on Apple.

At the same time, this is probably the quickest we’ve seen the bands go for either release. Lower than normal initial stock? Higher than normal demand? Who knows.

It’s weird that so many of the bands became unavailable at the same time. So maybe they do refresh soon?

It’s missing two stamps, so it’s not authentic. If the deployment clasp holds properly… idk if it even matters tbh. You will probably get the exact same experience between authentic and fake other than the fact you know it’s fake. It’s not like Hermes has fluoroelastomer cows they’re selecting their finest materials from.

My second last band arrived today, Bleu de France Kilim! WOW, instantly my favorite. I can’t believe I slept on this one and didn’t order it on release day. The blue color has so much energy in it. The marketing photos truly don’t do it justice.

Final band will be the grand h.
You’re selling me, I need to get off this thread lol. How is the material on this band ?

The markings on the clasp make it more likely to be genuine, not the other way around.

The two pics look good so far, but I would want to see the debossed markings on both bands to confirm.

Because the deployment clasp is facing in and because the black portion of the middle latch on each lug is facing away from us, it’s safe to say this is the inside portion where the expected markings are missing. The only thing we’d see if they flip over is whether or not the stainless says Hermes on the outer clasp.

The OP’s concern was the writing on the clasp, which I believe the hardware including the lugs could be genuine (unless they’re making some dame good fake deployment buckles). The bands themselves could be fake given the lack of Hermès markings.

I could see a scenario of someone parting out a genuine Kilim, getting fake hardware/bands, and creating two Kilim bands to scam out for more money. Fake band + genuine hardware and genuine band + fake hardware.

Def fake. The typeface on the lugs is all wrong and not even centered. I’m sure if we saw the buckle the maker’s mark wouldn’t be engraved.

It’s this I think:

Damn. I stand corrected and all apologies to everyone here.

That is the best fake deployment buckle I've seen so far.

Nah I wouldn’t have clocked it so easily if I hadn’t been lured in by that eBay listing in my rounds haha
If that is indeed the listing that @ZhenyaF was looking at, the dead giveaway without even looking at photos is "Compatible with" in the title. Even more so the description.

It is a darn good looking replica tho. Has anyone bought something like this (for science) and done a comparison?

It’s so rare we get to see the actual photos and not just stolen stock photos. It really pops!

I imagine shape wise it’s rather proper but a silicone kilim with all those crevices would just be a lint and permanent shine magnet.

The dark OEM ones are bad enough already with lint. And the drape and bend are prob uncomfortable to say the least.

I really like the Hermes deployment bands for the 46mm watch. They are the easiest for me to use with my S10 Hermes watch, due to my hand coordination. I have two Kilim bands (orange and green) and one leather deployment band in brown. Are three bands sufficient? I don’t want to go overboard.

Has anyone tried buying the S10 watch case with an older leather band from their Hermes boutique? I want this band with the S10 watch case as a combo.

you could ask in the boutique and see how it goes. I bought a watch with the etoupe band (single tour) and it was actually the older 41 band. so i dont see why they have to sell with only what they're marketing with but they might have rules against doing so but trying is the only way you'll find out!

Edit: also just to add, when i went to buy the watch, they sort of checked that the watch was in stock and then they checked to see the band i wanted was in stock. and that's how they determined i could get it.

If it’s the same item as your link and if we believe the seller, then they somehow found a way to make the band from fluoroelaster, which is the same material Hermes uses.

I didn’t even think about the idea of a silicone Kilim - that would get nasty fast.

The Beton is beautiful!! That is what I ordered and then added the green and new blue bands.
When I went to order from either Apple or Hermes, the new blue was not in stock, so I purchased the green. The orange Kilim came with my S10 watch. I like it, but my husband when I wear it.

A random question - I am on the phone to Apple as my jumping band connector has fallen off - only the screw is missing. They (when the advisor can find th part number) are going to send me a replacement (I know, I know a new band for a missing screw).

Does anyone have a link to a band connector and tool so I can fix this one? As I say it is only the tiny screw that has come out.

Thanks :)
