A bit off topic, but I thought you guys might enjoy it anyway. I polished it up the same was I polish my Apple Watch.

First, I sanded the heavily scratched areas with 2,000 grit sandpaper. Many deep scratches were close to the crystal, so I let some character remain.

Then, I used a Dremel on level 2 with felt polishing tips along with Autosol to remove the sanding marks and the majority of wear & tear. Moved onto cape cod cloths, and polished to the final brilliance with a traditional jewelry polishing cloth.

Going to alternate the classic Hermes with the digital Hermes from now on! Also, this is a temporary strap until I decide what to swap onto it.

Beautiful! I wish we had that font type on the Apple Watch Hermès.

Do owners feel they HAVE to use Hermes faces to justify the extra spent? Genuine question and absolutely not trying to troll.
I think if I owned one I'd use my favourite or practical faces at home and change to a Hermes one when out and about.

I do similar with my lowly Ti S10 and Ultra 2, practical faces with useful complications at home but smarter analogue faces when out. But with Hermes faces there's the the additional designer aspect that adds a bit more of a premium look.

Depends on the occasion but it is mostly the same for me. Any other face while at home for the utility and Hermès when I'm out / in office. It is the same with the bands, i hardly wear any Hermès band at home (well maybe the sport band).

I've never felt like I have to use any of the Hermes faces. I just prefer them over nearly every standard Apple watch face.

I think the Hermes faces are infinitely better than the default Apple ones. I returned a regular Ultra 2 years ago since I never found a face I liked; instantly loved the Ultra 2 Hermes edition since I could use my favorite faces.

Wow. I didn't know Apple Hermes bands work with traditional Hermes watches. This is great!

I’ve had an Apple Watch since series 0 and have had the 4,6 and 7 titanium. This year was my first ever Hermes one. I always thought the faces were so not worth it but I use them so often. I don’t feel I need to but I do love them enough now. I will say this though, I think the faces are better today than they were say 3 years ago (When I last bought an Apple Watch).

One question I have is why is the Radial face so dim on always on mode?

Aren‘t all Hermès faces pretty dim in always on mode?

How can Apple not update their faces for the new size as well. This would never pass with Jony Ive at the helm. He actually cared about small details….

Older Watch faces never got much love/work … even when Jony was still there.

Wow. I didn't know Apple Hermes bands work with traditional Hermes watches.

… depending on the size (lug width) of the Mechanical, of course.

Not in my opinion, but the radial is very dark. Can barely see it at all.

Been a while since I had an Hermès Watch (before Radial existed, actually), but in my memory they all seemed dimmer than the non-Hermès faces. But maybe Radial is even dimmer still? ¯\_ツ_/¯

I saw in some reviews that the Satine Grand H band is very solid. Does anyone know the actual weight of the 46mm band?

Does anyone know what the selection is like at Hermes boutiques? I’m considering buying a leather band on the Hermes website but also curious if I should just take a trip to Boston to see if they have some in stock to try before I order.

In store there’s a chance they’ll have some bands that are sold out or unavailable online, along with some past season items.

Save the trip to Boston; last time I was there they told me they were no longer carrying bands. However, the Apple Store on Boyleston usually has a very good Hermes selection, but obviously not leather. Happy hunting!

Might be worth giving them a call ahead of your visit. And go with low(er) expectations. As has been discussed before, the (likely) lack of customer service is a feature, not a bug.

The straps are a little side gig compared to just about anything else in the boutique.

Like the watch face. Is that available on the s10?
This is indeed one of the color combinations, available for the "Hermes" dial. But it looks too bright on that photo due to the reflection on the glass. What I just discovered myself: On a new setup you have to add the colors from previous years manually to get the bi-color dials. If you chose the color, scroll down, and add all the "old" colors at the +-Sign.
