@Schaden29 it’s more secure with two links removed. Perhaps b/c the band is balanced (one from each side). With 1 link removed, it moves around a bit,and makes good skin contact, but it really moves when no links are removed. It’s more snug with two removed, but not uncomfortably so. clasp just closes. Thanks so much. EDIT: Two links removed makes it to tight. The most comfortable with minimal wrist marks is no links removed. I can get a finger under the band. .
Alright so I think I can conclude that the large size with two links removed is too tight, which means the medium with no links removed would be too tight too, since they are the same size. It sounds like the large with no links removed is the best option - as long as it’s not sliding around like a bracelet. Try it out for a week and see if the back of the watch keeps contact. If it’s comfortable and the watch can work the way it’s supposed to then you should be fine with the large and no links removed. One finger under the band is good - two is too many.

I think this is the drawback of this type of band versus all the other Hermés bands because the links are wider than if you were just adjusting a hole size. The beauty of the band is worth it though, in my opinion.

No links removed is most comfortable. When I check the heart rate it measures. I don’t know what else to check as I no longer have O2 monitoring. Thanks so much. BTW, no matter what configuration of links, I still get clasp marks on the bottom of my wrist. I give up.

Put together a list of the sizes, as provided by Hermès. If you measure your wrist and it falls on or just short of one of these sizes, chances are it’ll fit you well. If you’re just above a size, it may unfortunately be too tight if you size down or too loose if you size up.

42mm Grand H:
S both links removed - 130mm
S one link removed - 137.5mm
S no links removed/M both links removed - 145mm
M one link removed - 152.5mm
M no links removed/L both links removed - 160mm
L one link removed - 167.5mm
L no links removed - 175mm

Total size range 130-175mm. (For comparison, a 42mm leather single tour also has seven sizing options but in the range of 145-180mm.)

46mm Grand H:
S both links removed - 145mm
S one link removed - 152.5mm
S no links removed/M both links removed - 160mm
M one link removed - 167.5mm
M no links removed/L both links removed - 175mm
L one link removed - 182.5mm
L no links removed - 190mm

Total size range 145-190mm. (For comparison, a 46mm leather single tour also has seven sizing options but in the range of 165-200mm.)

When I first bought the Grand H I measured my wrist to be ~181mm, and the Large 46mm with one link removed fit perfectly. I’ve since lost a bit of weight (and for a while the watch was a bit too loose and would slide up and down my wrists) and my wrists are now 175mm so removing another link became possible and it fits tighter but I can easily still wear it all day without issue. So the “meets or falls just short of a measurement” rule here seems fairly sound with my limited data. I welcome input from others on it though.

Excellent work.

Thanks for putting this together. I measure at 178mm, so I guess I will need to buy a large if I get the Grand H. I was hoping I could fit into a medium size as they are easier to find than the larges, but reality strikes. 😆

Thanks @Vangeli very helpful. My wrist is 181mm. I removed one link. Does it matter from the top or bottom?

No matter how many links I remove or leave in, I still get marks on the underside of my wris from the clasp. Any suggestions on how to handle this?

Great, thanks! This should settle this once and for all. Hopefully we can get back to other watch bands now 😈

Has anyone checked RECENTLY with Hermes customer service in the US to see if Hermes has changed their policy about selling links? IIRC, their policy might have changed, based on my last call. However I am by no means an authority on the issue.

Grand H on 45mm S9 (ft Beats Pill 😂). The lugs line up very nearly perfectly, which I was pleasantly surprised by.
Looks Great. Are you wearing it snug or loose? I also have one Kilim band and one leather deployment which I have not worn since my Grsnd H arrived. I removed one link from the 46mm large.

I also dropped one link (from the top) - it was just a hair too lose with all 4 lugs on but still passes the finger test with the one removed. The imbalance isn’t evident at all so it doesn’t bother me.

I love the leather bands but with the summer heat around the corner I think they will be taking a break in favor of this band and a Jumping band (I 😅 like crazy in the heat).

And golly, for a kilobuck they could have at least included that little spare link sleeve that is included with the Apple link bracelets!

I dropped mine from the bottom. I wish there was some guideline for removing a single link.

This might be a stupid question but do kilims get more comfortable? I imagine since they’re rubber probably not? Deciding if I should keep this one…

I find the kilim’s to be super comfortable even when brand new. No long term experience as I wear a different band every day so all my bands are in like new condition. I did buy a used kilim in orange last year but to me it looked like
Mint condition and its super comfortable as well.
