Placed An order for an LV Band from these guys...

http://www.thestrapsmith.com/

Please post close up pictures, i am interested in the Damier LV one to match my LV bracelet and wallet. I'm selling my brown one i don't wear it and prefer the black with silver hardware. :)

Excuse the hairy arm, it was a full moon recently and i'm still sheding hair. :p

Which one did you order? Which style and color? I want the Black Damier with grey stitching, but $240 is a bit much for a band plus I have stopped myself buying anymore. 15 Bands is my limit. Will have to sell some i guess if i want the Louis. :)

Very nice! Just checked it out. Great purchase! Did you get the 24x24 one? That one looks best. Also with a Polished Pre-V screw in buckle is the way to go if you have a 42mm SS apple watch. Will look amazing.

<Edit> Just realised they have a LV Custom lazer cut buckle for $39!

Yes, I ordered a 24x24 but I did not order the LV Buckle. I ordered a Butterfly clasp off Amazon...

Actually that's a great choice. It will prolong the life of the band. I have one or two straps i really like i want them to last a long time so i got some butterfly clasps also. which brand did you buy? I've only tried Hadley Roma one which max size is 22mm i paid $33. The other ones look cheaper and thinner. The Hadley Roma is really solid. I've seen a few nice Panerai butterfly push button clasps but start from around $300. I'm in the market for a few nice 24mm ones at the moment.

I love how every 20 year old today has a 50 year old executive's disposable income to spend on rap star accessories. When I was 20, it was all I could do to scrape together enough quarters for the laundry and a slice of pizza. Now "normal" kids have 2 iPhones, an iPad, a BMW, an Apple Watch with Louis Vuitton straps (totally not legit LV BTW), $400 Alexander Wang sneakers, and order $500 bottles of vodka at da club.

What ever happened to being young and broke and paying your dues?

So? I don't see how relevant this post is to this thread. Although I do agree with what you are saying, this thread is about high-end watch bands not about money. Moving on..

I'm 37 and worked every summer through out high school (11-16 years old) and continued to work while at College getting my A-Levels and University. The day after i graduated with Honors i started full time at an Investment Company. That's right, no vacations for me. I worked hard, made great investments, never borrowed a dime/penny, never had anything ever given to me. I work in I.T and have my own company which I moved to NY 6 years ago to expand it internationally on this side of the ocean. I don't get to visit back home much. Always working. Thanks for your judgmental and totally incorrect assumptions.

By the way i don't drink either.. So most of the bad habits others have i don't and end up with more cash to spend on myself. :)

My cousin on the other hand, he grew up in the USA. And he's only 17, has 3 Mercedes bought by his dad, louis, gucci, hermes, ferragamo belts you name it. Has never worked a day in his life, skips school, has no ambition and fails at everything he does. Walks around with 4-5K in cash in his pockets anywhere he goes, Flashes his dads platinum amex alot. He can barely wipe his ass. So i agree with kids nowadays have no idea about life or reality.

Don't put me in that pigeonhole. Some of us have a great deal of pride and stand on our own two feet.

Armski, you don't even need to justify yourself.. If you like a particular watch band, then it is your right to buy it. What you are doing with your own money is your personal choice. Now, there are people that have no senses of values and I don't think that comments like the one from mcdj would change anything unfortunately.

Most people don't realise, when i purchase something, be it a car, a watch, anything of value. I look after it. I keep it as i just took it out of the box. I learnt over the years that whatever we get bored of and has no value to us is worth money to someone else. Hence anything i purchase of any value i can later then sell on, either for a small loss or most of the time a profit, due to scarcity. I call it business acumen while enjoying the product. My Brown Damier Louis Vuitton bracelet i bought 6 months ago for $380, i just sold for $450, shipped it today. I kept the black one. To me anything i buy is not a loss, its an investment.

If one has a good eye and is at the right place at the right time can make a huge amount of money buying and selling. Anyone can do it.

I just got this strap in today and used the spring adapters from freedomoclock (quality sucks by the way). It's a crocodile leather strap from Gucci. What do you guys think?

I like the strap! What's is wrong with the adapters? I just got mine today from him as well. Mine sort of jiggle around a bit or have some play if you pull them away from the watch.

Thanks. This is my first strap other than the Milanese loop that came with my watch. As for the adapter, well compared to the apple one, this one is loose and shows a slight gap when on the watch, the latch system looks like it'll fall apart any moment when removing the adapter. Hopefully they will improve on the fit and quality of the latch of these adapters as I like the spring style and will buy more later for future bands.

Sounds like your is somewhat similar to mine in terms of the gap and movement. I'm hoping it holds up.
