High Sierra native support for 10Gb ethernet

Digging out an old thread - but for those who might be concerned:

Asus XG-C100F (SFP) did not work for me neither with Kext Patch (credits to Mieze) nor with PCIID Spoofing via Opencore not manual editing of the Apple kext in S/L/E.

By contrast, an AQC-107S based card worked OOTB in the same TB1 enclosure on an iMac Mid 2011 with the same SFP module.

I'm very tempted to go buy an AQ107S card like the Akitio 10G card which is $130. Will use it with a thunderbolt PCIe card enclosure. Because my ASUS AREION card is definitely not working in this. And it doesn't seem like it will be possible to make it work.
