West County.

Experience has been fine I guess. I usually go in knowing exactly what I want to buy so I haven't dealt much with the salespeople other than handing over my credit card. FWIW, the West County location is bigger than the Galleria one (but it's still small compared to the flagship ones other cities have)

I'm just curious, where are you from that you have that long of a drive?

Southern Illinois.

Would you suggest going to the West County Store instead if I'm already making that long of a drive? Any clue if either one can upgrade a hard drive when I get my MBP?

I really don't think it matters, and no, you can't upgrade hard drives in store, you'd have to order it online

Probably an hour and a half drive, and shorter on the train.

I've not been to it though; only Regent Street which is 2.5 hours (via train & tube) away.

However, I'm not within enough distance to get a job at an Apple Store, that's for sure... *sniff* My dreams are crushed.

We have 5 stores within a 1 hr. drive. A couple of them are only a 15-20 minute drive.

Nearest Apple Store is 90 miles away, one way. I've only been there once, to buy my iPhone. At gas prices now, that amounts to a $20 surcharge per round trip, even driving a stick that gets 35mpg.

So now I order online from Apple and so it's FedEx must be goin' broke on gas to come out here from their nearest depot, which is like 60 miles away. The last Apple order I made, two boxes showed up in two days and the third piece is lost in customs in Indianapolis. Bad joke on FedEx: the missing item is just one of those new smaller USB adapters, 20c worth of plastic for which I paid $30, and FedEx will pay god knows what in gas to drive it out here sometime if they ever lay hands on the thing again.

The other amusing thing on this order is that when one asks for expedited shipping of an order, and the order is split up for delivery, Apple sticks the delivery surcharge on the LAST item to be shipped.

So in this case, the surcharge went on, you guessed it, the 20c worth of plastic that is lost in Indiana. Plus the $13 won't even cover FedEx gas cost to make two round trips out here. It's just comical that the charge itself got pegged onto that tiny lost piece of equipment.

I should have been a bit more specific. I'm planning on bringing one in to see if they will swap the drives.

Yorkdale - 42M/ 52 Minutes
Eaton's Center - 45.1M/58 Minutes
Sherway Gardens - 53.6M/ 1 Hour 5 Minutes

I wish there was one closer to me. I mean the town 10-15 minutes away from me would be serving 100,000+ people.

about 20 minutes from the Mall at Millenia location in Orlando, and as of mid-August, about 2 minutes from the new Altamonte Mall location:D. THAT's where I'll be buying me new macbook soon

A guy I worked with at an Apple store would take about 2hrs to drive to the store..

Sigh.

Within one week I've blown $250 at the new Apple Store.

My wallet was just fine before Apple decided to acknowledge the state of South Carolina.

Now, I live 10 minutes from the wallet-draining madness that is an Apple Store.

(Ironically, the Best But that's 5 minutes from my house is opening their Apple section next week).

I can't escape it.
