Extremely unlikely with all the supply chain leaks these days.

Quite the opposite, actually. The list of ‘supply chain leaks’ has been extremely minimal this year, only showing a few internals/casing of the iPhone, and even the Apple Watch barely leaked anything.

as much as I'm a cynic and critic of , TouchID & FaceID were total surprises and unexpected. So it's possible, yet not very likely, that some sort of nice new tech might show up in the 2019 models- but I'm not holding my breath.

Everything will look the same but with internal or color changes. Like it always is.

Boring...

Initially I predict big sales, but I feel demand will fall faster than before. How many times can Apple make improvements to the same old outdated and boring designs?

Oh... it’s flat instead of glossy!!!!! OMG I have to have it.

What I’d really like to see is someone stand up during the keynote and say c’mon Apple this is getting ridiculous.

Haha I dream about Apple smashing expectations every year... and every year, the phone that is announced is pretty much exactly as what the rumors predicted. I guess with a global supply chain, building up supply and delivering them like a week out, there's not much Apple can do to stop the leaks.

Original iPhone was announced like 6 months before first delivery right? Probably the only way to really surprise folks these days is to announce a full working prototype and not even start manufacturing them until after the announcements - but ppl won't be happy having to wait 4-6 months out...

... and released an iPhone similar to the rumored iPhone 2020?

Complete with ProMotion, a square redesign, USB C, three cameras, improved FaceID, and a smaller notch?

A man can dream.
Also, after quite a few years an iPhone with wow factor and a £650 price tag lol? That would be good but highly doubtful. I think my days of being interested in the latest iPhones are well and truly over lol.

Every leak from Kuo is a supply chain leak.

Kuo and Reuters say JDI is supplying OLED for Apple Watch this year, that's based on the supply chain. Kuo says Sunrex is making the scissor keyboard this year, that's a supply chain leak. Largan and Genius are making the super-wide angle lens for iPhone.

I don't think anyone expects a parts leak these days, given that Foxconn searches employees and materials three times before anything is allowed to leave the facility.

Yeah right.......

No they weren't. Their existence was leaked months before launch.

Since Apple will continue to use Intel modems for 2019, they won't come close to destroying my expectations, and my expectations are quite low.

Actually, there's now a rumor to that effect, and yes it would be cool (minus the USB-c thing, I'm not on that bandwagon).

Wouldn't it be refreshing if Apple started with a joke of showing the current leaks as the new iPhone, and then they said "but sorry, we lied," and bam a redesigned iPhone. It harkens back to the more playful keynotes that Jobs used to do, like show g off the iPod with rotary dial as the iPhone, or making fun how everybody already saw the iPhone 4. Those small funs were part of why Apple keynotes used to be great. Now, not only the the whole content were leaked a day before, the delivery were sterile. Only Craig is the one that is having fun, usually. The rest are just plain, and that's why imo people are getting disappointed with Apple.
