They still haven't solved the stutter problem in NC.When you scroll down the list of notifications there are huge stutters. This didn't happen on iOS 9

And what version of iOS 9 would that be? Remember, iOS isn't even 'official' yet. Give it a tweek or two before condemning it yet. Geez

Can anyone give an honest opinion of iOS 10 on the iPad mini 2? Holding off until I can be sure it is stable. iPhone seems good so far on my 5c

I am also wondering why they haven't implemented a Spotify feature, which could be so neat on a Apple Music iOS 10 combo.

When you slide up to get control centre, and have the "play to device", which is for AirPlay I assume. Why not list all available devices running Apple Music to push the song to?

You arrive home from work, and can transfer your music straight to your Mac etc. Why not allow an Apple Music handoff to another device, and make it pretty in the bounds of iOS 10? Seems like something they could have done quite easily...

This keyboard is the best one yet for me. It solved my punctuation issues. It's like Swiftkey on Android. That comma behaviour always irritated me as on Android is stays in that mode which I wanted for a long time
Why would you want it to stay in that mode after putting a comma and a space? I would say about 99% of the time you'd want to be back to regular typing after that so it totally makes sense to switch back automatically rather than not.

But then again, seems like your typing habits are off in a sense anyway as we've discussed before as you seem to not have spacing with a lot of your punctuation. In a sense this kind of shows that what's happening with the iOS 10 keyboard isn't quite right if it seems to work out better for those that aren't using spacing correctly.

Only some built in apps are faster, the rest are a bit slower and the Apple Store and iTunes Store as well. However the smooth animations make you feel it is almost as fast as iOS 9.
That's not a fair criticism, as 3rd party apps have not yet been updated for iOS 10.

Just installed iOS 10 gm(PB) on my iphone 6 and everything went smoothly but I didn't get the complete update screen where you would verify your icloud pw and enable/disable locations, it just went straight to the home screen after unlocking my phone. Not sure if that's normal.

Neither did I on my SE with the DP profile.

In terms of Beta 1 to GM, the early builds were a lot more nifty than the the current ones, aside from the bugs, the early ones seemed more Apple like. When they stared changing sounds, emojis, and settings, this OS just became flat out weird. The glazed white look the folders have is just bad... the original clear looking folders looked way better. I don't like the fact that the iOS 9 widgets are this ugly black color and the layout is completely broken unlike it was in early builds. Lastly, I miss the cool blur affect that happened when you opened and closed apps.

Sigh... the early betas are always cooler than the later builds and final product.

Does anyone know how iOS 10 runs on the iPad Mini 2/3? I'm looking to update my iPad Mini when iOS 10 comes out, however I don't want it to slow down my device. I use my iPad Mini as a primary computing device and I would prefer for it not to become slow.

Here is my experience:

iPhone 6S: Performance is very good. However, there is slightly delay when open camera app. Camera app will take around 2 seconds to respond. Sometime camera app will freeze with one mode, I have to swipe to different mode for camera app respond.

Same with iPhone SE.

iPhone 5 and 5S: Choppy animation when opening folder, closing app. Sluggishness can be felt almost everywhere. This is especially true for iPhone 5. Not recommend update for iPhone 5

I'm really enjoying it! It's been stable for me and I'm running a good ol' 5S!

My experience has been interesting. Overall, animations and moving through the OS is smoother than iOS 9. However, I've noticed occasional pauses here and there when using the system, usually when switching between apps, bringing up the keyboard, and so on.

I think iOS 10 uses different memory management techniques than previous systems, and this is causing the occasional pauses. It's not really bad, but does surprise me now and then.

I'm betting on devices with 2GB of RAM, this problem is nonexistent. But 1GB device owners will have to deal with it occasionally.

Yea, I'm not seeing pauses on my 6s+.

That's what I figured. iOS 10 needs more memory, and 1GB users are going to feel a few performance squeezes.

I'm upgrading to an iPhone 7 in the next couple of months, so my days of dealing with the pauses are numbered. I feel sorry for the people who can't afford to upgrade though.

Also I'm sure after upgrading my phone I'm not going to want to use my iPad Air anymore. It's going to feel like a slug.

After a few days using it everyday on my iPhone 6 I'm moving my rating more toward the awesome rating.

It does seem a little faster/smoother and the new features definitely add to the overall experience.

How do I feel about it?

Great. Except for the Music app, which is awful, a huge step backwards.

Interesting. I'm on a 6+, and even the iOS10 Betas were definitely more performant than iOS9 starting with, I think, Beta4.
The GM is quick as h.

Same on my iPad Air 2.
man I hope you're right as i felt ios9 slowed my iPad Air 2 down a touch - plus i feel that Apple like to intentionally make their devices obsolete with each version of the latest software.

iOS 10 is nice and fast on my iPhone 6s and iPad Air 2. Performance issues haven't even been a thought for me....

Wait what!?!? I remember stutter threads and discussions from iOS 9.0 through 9.3 maybe beyond and you were the main person who had them. So now you are saying 9 didn't have stutters? I am confused. This the same Radonxxxxx or maybe a different Radonxxxxxx?

have not tried the betas or gm .... can not help feeling im in for a disapointment... ios im sure can not live up to my long waiting expectations.. get disapointed every time so when will i learn.
im on 6plus so no force touch and on ipad 12,9.
Sounds like alot of waaaaasted space on ipad and clumpsy ios on iphone without force touch?!

I hate wasted space more than anything else and would hate my expensive 12,9 ipad pro "laptop replacement" to end up as a wayyyyy to big iphone.

also how is the use of portrait mode on the plus phone models?
until now my two year old 6plus has not yet really taken advantage of portraitmode (the thing apple used as selling point 2 years ago) ... now I have ordered a 7 plus so after two years and new phone I hope atleast something has changed with the portrait mode?
