Same here.
Matte always seemed much more classy than glossy/reflective, not to mention all the fingerprints and scratches the piano black would be prone to (bleh!).
Yup & yup!

All the more reason not to care about color at all.Very few people will have to worry about fingerprints since most put cases on.
How about a fifty $ discount for iPhone generic aluminum meant for case use only. Great reception with antenna lines all over the back. All the more reason not to care about color at all.
I definitely agree to some extent. People were asking for a darker black so Apple listened, but that would have been satisfactory enough for the consumer, but it seems they went the extra mile and produced two of the same color just in different finishes to really double down on anyone and everyone looking for a truly black phone. They seem to not want to miss the mark with that buyer at all.You should review my posts about how Space Gray is not black.
It'll leave you rolling on the floor laughing.

What do you call it then when a company only decides to honor a longstanding customer request in order to make up for sales they know they will lose?
As opposed to granting that request when sales are good?
I still say they miss the mark in not offering black and white face in all color combinations. Yes it would double the sku numbers, but at this point I think they could handle the volume and diversity.I definitely agree to some extent. I think it is a reference to the black sharp(#)/flat(b) keys on a piano.Where did Piano Black come from, as in the name?
I get that you are free to have and voice these opinions, but honestly I'm fascinated that someone like you who clearly despises Apple, and assumes that everything they do has some evil motive, are reading and participating in an Apple forum. I just don't get it.

probably - i wonder what apple will call itI think it is a reference to the black sharp(#)/flat(b) keys on a piano.
I think it would need to be opposite of that. Opaque white for the white keys and crystal clear plastic for the black keys.probably - i wonder what apple will call it
