This is for serious iPad Pro travel in style! A previous member recommended one similar @alecgold It is made by the same company (BOLE’) but this one is meant for iPads. It is (8.0”x9.84”) the iPad Pro 11” is (7.03x9.75”) it looks like a nearly perfect fit even with the pencil magnetized to the iPad. These bags and or sleeves are very expensive. But it is handmade quality, and on top of that a 15 year warranty.

So, you’d be using one of these sleeves iPad, after iPad, after iPad.

I wish there was a local shop that had these! I’d love to try one for a day or two to see how I like it. I like the simplicity. And it’s even a tad bit wider than a iPad Pro 11” so you could accommodate the smart folio, or keyboard folio with a pencil on the side too.

I have a 10.5” pro, which I use extensively on a daily basis. Recently, I put it in a Tech21 case with a black leather ASC. This goes into the Apple leather sleeve, which also holds the Pencil. And this whole ensemble goes I to my leather messenger bag, in which I also carry my Thinkpad X1C6. My phone (OP6t) is in my pocket.

Sometimes on local commutes, I put the iPad with the case but not the sleeve into an outer zippered pocket of my leather bad, which allows me to read on the ride and slip it back in quickly when I get to my destination.

The way by which you are carrying your iPad pro is perfect. I also carry my tablet in a similar way and this is the way by which everyone should carry there tablet to keep it safe while travelling.

I keep my 12.9 in a thick leather folio by Oberon Design (oberondesign.com).
Beyond that I simply slip it in whatever other bag I may be carrying-messenger bag, laptop bag, handle bag.

I have the 9.7" Pro with the ASK and when I first bought it, I thought I'd walk around all Jean-Luc Picard and not need a bag. One evening, in one of the less glamorous parts of Brooklyn, I realized a bag might be a good idea. So I went on Amazon and picked this up.

Does it look a little bit like a purse on a man? Yes. But, pull out your iPad Pro and go to work, and any comments people might have to say will stop. Or don't and don't be bothered by snide remarks from people you don't care about. Both are wins.

I've taken this bag with me to Coney Island, the mountains of Chile and, now that I'm in Germany, to Strand Pauli, London, and beyond. For $16, it's a steal even if it's not the most fashionable but it is light, which is important if, say, you carry your laptop to work, maybe keep it in your bag alongside, and leave the bigger bag at work overnight. You have a to-go bag with your iPad at the ready. Plus, it has all kinds of little pockets for your pencil, and other stuff.

After 2+ years, the zippers have started breaking and it's begun to show it's age but... it also cost 16 DOLLARS! So... I accept the wear and tear since the strap still holds up without any.

I, honestly, never go anywhere without my iPad and a large part of it is because of how easy this bag makes it to take it with me.

Did you buy the 9.7” iPad Pro when it first released. It sounds like you’ve gotten a lot of years out of it. Very cool.

I remember folks discouraging others' purchase of the Pro 9.7 when it was first released saying it would be very short lived. :)

All things considered, I got much better use out of the Pro 9.7 for my money compared to the iPad 2, 3 & 4 (and my 512GB Pro 12.9 LTE if I'm being honest). It's possibly the first iPad where I didn't feel the need to upgrade right away (good performance and sufficient storage at 256GB). I still don't download videos to it but at least I don't have to agonize about which favorite manga series I need to delete to make room on the device. :p

I did. It was the idea of the power (and keyboard) of the Daddy Pro in a form factor I could carry around easily. No slam against the 12.9" but when you add the ASK weight to the iPad weight, you're not far off from a Macbook without the power supply, and I wanted something that didn't feel like "work" when I took it places with me even if I could get work done on it. I build and support websites for a living so I'm pretty impressed with what it's been able to do.

The Baby Pro is definitely underpowered with the 2GB of RAM compared to the bigger model and you can feel it now and then but it still holds up just fine. So well, in fact, that I skipped the 10.5" generation and will be getting the new 11" as soon as I can get a friend to smuggle one from the US to DE.

I 100% agree on all your points. The only place where I'd say it has been short lived is when it comes to the ASK. I had Apple replace my first one after six months and, after a little over another year, replaced my second with one from Ebay. But they're starting to become a little thin on the ground which is disappointing since, to me, it was the feature that convinced me to buy an iPad. Almost thinking about stocking up on them except I'm about to buy the 11" and my wife prefers a German keyboard which is next to impossible to find for the 9.7" anymore.

I was actually glad for the 10.5" owners to see that Apple made that the new iPad Air and is continuing to put out that keyboard for them.

(And, yes, I know, there are third party options but none are as light and/or take advantage of the Smart Connector like the ASK, thus my preference...)

No such thing as a king’s backpack. Maybe a valet’s backpack... :D

I'm not sure Richard II would agree with you:

"Let's talk of graves, of worms, and epitaphs;
Make dust our paper and with rainy eyes
Write sorrow on the bosom of the earth,
Let's choose executors and talk of wills:
And yet not so, for what can we bequeath
Save our deposed bodies to the ground?
Our lands, our lives and all are Bolingbroke's,
And nothing can we call our own but death
And that small model of the barren earth
Which serves as paste and cover to our bones.

For God's sake, let us sit upon the ground
And tell sad stories of the death of kings;
How some have been deposed; some slain in war,
Some haunted by the ghosts they have deposed;
Some poison'd by their wives: some sleeping kill'd;
All murder'd: for within the hollow crown
That rounds the mortal temples of a king
Keeps Death his court and there the antic sits,
Scoffing his state and grinning at his pomp,
Allowing him a breath, a little scene,
To monarchize, be fear'd and kill with looks,
Infusing him with self and vain conceit,
As if this flesh which walls about our life,
Were brass impregnable, and humour'd thus
Comes at the last and with a little pin
Bores through his castle wall, and farewell king!
Cover your heads and mock not flesh and blood
With solemn reverence: throw away respect,
Tradition, form and ceremonious duty,
For you have but mistook me all this while:
I live with bread like you, feel want,
Taste grief, need friends: subjected thus,
How can you say to me, I am a king?

Or the King of Sweden:

"The Rucksacks are available in two models, named King Rucksack and Prince Rucksack. The first King (of the current series) Rucksack was purveyed to H.M. the King of Sweden. The first Prince Rucksack was purveyed to the crown prince of a neighbouring country. As one would expect, the King is bigger than the Prince. As one would also suspect, Sweden is bigger than the neighbouring country."

But yes, I expect that in general you are correct. :)

My 11" Pro only comes with me when I travel. I have the Apple folio case which has been great in protecting the front and back of the device.

$7500? No thanks! How about a $500 bag instead and I’ll just fill it with $7000 in loose cash! Haha lol. Then I’ll still have a $7,500 dollar bag and my money too.

Aside from the price, leather is a crazy material for use in the outdoors. It's not even practical in many urban settings. Here, save yourself even more:
