Nobody wants them. The only reason I have an iPad mini 2 is because I gave my dad my Wi-Fi iPad Air 2 when I upgraded to the cellular version and nobody really wanted his mini. I'm glad because I actually kind of like to take the mini out with me sometimes because I can store it in my pockets if I have to.

Most of my devices are just old devices that I still use sometimes, so no one really wants them, like a Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, Moto X 2013, iPhone 5s, and Nexus 4.

I'm sure there are schools or charities that will take them. Sorry for sounding preachy, but an old device that means nothing to you could mean the world to a young student whose family can't afford even a used one.

i have 3 in total. An iPad mini 2, an iPad Air 2 and lastly this nice new iPad Pro, all 128GB. I also have the hard to find Pencil. All are LTE versions

My lovely wife thinks I have one too many, and wants me to dump the mini.

What say you!

D

I have two, iPad Pro as my mobile sketchbook, and iPad mini 4 to just go out and enjoy reading or just checking emails/web/games. I barely bring both put together, decide which on I bring out based on what I'm planning to do with it outside. I love both, good products.

Just spotted this thread and with my recent purchase of the new 12.9 Pro has made me think I have too many. Well, I know I have too many but not sure if I’ll sell one or not.

Currently have;
IPad Mini 4 128GB
IPad Pro 10.5 256GB
IPad Pro 12.9 256GB
All cellular.

I like the 10.5 Pro as I can take it into the office and read the news. I love my new 12.0 and use this at home so that leaves the mini. I just love the size of the mini and although it doesn’t get used much nowerdays I still love it. Might just have to keep all 3!

Hi!
I use my iPad Pro mainly for digital drawing and creating music, and watching movies/TV, website.
My first iPad Pro was 12.9 and I also had Mini 4, then 2nd generation of iPad Pro, I switched to 10.5, since 12.9 was too big and heavy to me to carry around.
I really loved 12.9 when I used it for digital painting though, especially it was awesome when I used as split screen.
After I got 10.5, soon enough I sold my mini 4 as well. Just because mini 4 doesn’t take Apple Pencil, and 10.5 was small and light enough to carry around to me.
Currently I use latest version 11.
I’m not going back to mini, new 12.9 looks smaller and lighter but still big to me, so I’m satisfied with my choice 11.
I love the size of mini, but unless I can use Apple Pencil on it, it’s not comfortable enough and not so useful to me to carry around since I digital paint a lot, and finger drawing is tough to do details.

I think you can sell them all, then can get either new 12.9 or 11 and still can have some extra money to cover accessories and else... ;)

Hey a thread I replied to in 2016. Fun.

I now have the iPP 11; my wife as a 2016 12.9 iPP and a 10.5, my 11-year-old has the 9.7 iPP, and my 2-year-old has an iPad Air 2. We have an iPad Air that we're going to give away to a family member.

Just curious, what case did you use when carrying around your 10.5? And, you didn’t find it too heavy to carry around?

As soon as Apple stops supporting your iPad unless it's just to view pictures you find many of your App's start acting strange, it might be time to retire it.
Both my 2&4 are not supported today, this is why i bought the 2017 iPadPro.

IPad Pro 10.5”

iPad Mini

I use iPad Pro for my work, playing music and leisure. I have just replaced my 2017 12.9” with a new 2018” 12.9”, but have not yet decided what to do with the old device (which now seems huge!). I may use as Luna display connected to my iMac.

The 10.5” I use as more portable iPad Pro when I am on the move, in the car or on airplane and also as second screen on my desk when in my office. I do like a two ipad set up.

We have three in the house - iPad 4, Air 2, and 11” Pro. I purchased all three and passed the 4 to my husband when I got the Air 2. I asked him if he wanted the Air 2 but he doesn’t, so I was going to trade it in, but I kind of like having it around, so I’m keeping it. It’s nice because I can watch something on it while I draw on the Pro.
