I sure as hell am.

My PC died a month and a half ago and ive been eagerly waiting since than.

Probably gonna grab a low end 27.

Atleast you have a Mac, I've been wanting one for years! But never could afford it as I have had to pay off a few other things, but now I have the money and it's killlllllllllling me waiting this long :(

I'm not anxious about it, I mean when they are released I will give them a look.

I currently use a 3+ year old 24" iMac and thought about replacing it since the Apple Care expired last December.

Nothing really wrong with my iMac, and I may opt to not even buy a new one.

I'm stuck on a Windows 7 PC, with 1.5GB Ram, 149GB HDD, with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+ 1.9Ghz -,-

Good point. Unfortunately, my PC died right before a massive assessment week for school, so we kinda rushed the purchase a bit.
I was meant to get both at the same time you see.

The wait is crushing me too though, I want a Mac that can do some serious video editing.

I'm in the exact same boat.

I'm running an eight-year old iMac and the only thing it has problems with is running Youtube videos smoothly. For everything else it's fine. Still beats the two year old PC I have to use at work. Regardless, even though I have few complaints about my current Mac, the new 27" versions are going to be too tough to pass up...especially with the free iPod Touch and printer thrown in.

I just got partnered on YouTube too.. so it sucks that this computer can't even playback footage shot on my Canon T2i, which means I can't edit anything to upload and start earning some monnnnneeehhhzzz :(

I wouldnt say its the imac.... honestly my early 2010 macbook pro sucks at "youtube" videos are really choppy.

8 years old? I have an 11 year old iMac G3 Aqua Blue sitting right next to me, it doesn't even have a dock cause I haven't upgraded it to 10.3 (Maximum OS) yet :p It's funny cause that performs better than the computer I'm actually on :p (well not really, but this PC sucks!)

Just keep rockin the orange hair and hold your iphone close until the iMac comes out.

I have a PC desktop that is struggling and giving me problems -- still usable though, ultimately. I'm patiently waiting for the iMac refresh. Why Mac?

I purchased a 2011 13" MBP and I'm loving the experience (my only one gripe is the lack of hi-res screen. Can't help but feel cheated a bit by Apple regarding this one aspect!). It's time to make the switch for my main desktop at home too. Eager for the refresh, but not waiting in agony.

PC to iMac !!!!!!!

Been a PC since Windows 3.1 & tired of virus attacks...
Really want the new iMac for the Thunder port for fast back ups...

Let's all discuss!

How many of us are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 2011 iMac? :D

Can I start a post thats about how Im anxiously awaiting the END of all these "when is the new iMac coming out" threads?

I really really want to get onto the next set of never ending threads that will go something like this:

"should I get the 21" X.XX Ghz i5 or the 27" X.XX Ghz i3?"

And then everyone will get to ask "what are you going to do with it?"
and then all of the "I love the large 27" screen" and of course "I had to return the 27" screen it was too big!" And the "more cores is better" or the silly goofball with the "I think a larger Ghz number means its faster".

and then we can move on to all of the "Is 4 gigs of ram enough or should I get more?" threads

Oh, and lets not forget all of the "I wish it had a larger drive/better video/more SSD options/matte screen/full sized bluetooth keyboard/USB 3/eSATA/24" option!!" posts. Those are my favorite. Wishing, LOL. You get what you get and you dont throw a fit?

please lets move on...

I'm waiting. Been running a hackintosh for years. Briefly owned a G4 tower and a Core Solo mac mini.

I'm really hoping the new imac has a 6950m or 6970m video card. Getting it as a secondary computer as I already have a pretty decent PC with dual monitors and nothing against windows. Mainly for photography usage but also as another gaming computer so the wife and I can play a few games together. And because the screen is so beautiful that playing any game on it would be amazing.

But if it doesn't have one of these video cards i'll have to re-evaluate my options.
