Everyday reading that another feature will be pushed off till 2019.
Hardwares most likely the same and IOS 12 basically a polished iOS 11
Unless Apple has a big surprise up its sleeve this iPhone sounds bland
Well let’s see what light the WWDC sheds
On all this before we jump to conclusions
Seems like this years slogan is ‘don’t expect to much and you won’t be disappointed’

In a way, I think this is the year for Apple to really improve the software. Look at what they boast about the most, it’s iOS, it’s security and support. They need to improve what they are good at, and it’s not their hardware standards, but most importantly, it’s the software and security that matters the most to the consumer. Hardware is superficial, it eventually fades, as iOS is what retains the consumer long-term in their ecosystem.

How much can Apple or any phone company realistically do to shock consumers?

-A11 is about as fast as anyone can use
-The camera will improve a bit
-Maybe a bit larger battery or more usage
- It’ll have a notch and oled screen

Smartphones have seriously plateaued. They can make them a bit faster or thinner with a nicer camera, but you will never get a massive upgrade from one year to the next.

I won’t upgrade until we have new battery tech or the replacement for oled screen technology. I don’t think we will see any of that for 2-3 more years. 8+ will be cheap and is my pick for a good deal with solid performance.
