personal phone is mute most times. I wear an Apple Watch but I mute my messages on there. I honestly don't use the mute switch that much but I prefer a mute switch. I like the tactile feeling.
Interesting been retired since 2007 so probably my needs for focus modes are light so never use them other than the sleep mode from time to time to monitor my sleep patterns with apple ultra these days.I rarely use it now that focus modes are a thing, but before that I used the mute button anytime I needed to silence my phone. I still use it occasionally if I need to quickly silence my phone (e.g.: if I'm on the phone or in an appointment and want to silence as quickly as possible; it's also helpful I silence by feel).
I have an ultra but sorta use both (I am retired so most of time mute for me is not needed except in rare meetings)Never
No need with an apple watch
My focus modes are basically DND where I only calls from Favourites and another one where I allow notifications from a few people and apps and calls from all (for times I don't want full on DND mode, but I want to receive some notifications and calls). In the past DND was less customizable so I didn't really use it; I just silenced the phone. Also I'm off work right now, but now that you mention it I'll probably be using the actual mute switch when I'm working again since I can't have calls from anyone coming through then!Interesting been retired since 2007 so probably my needs for focus modes are light so never use them other than the sleep mode from time to time to monitor my sleep patterns with apple ultra these days.
