Right, but you had to buy your devices, or used your old ones? The next time you buy devices it will be a wash.

Do you work for Verizon or something??????You quoted both my post about me moving from Verizon

My other 2 lines do not care about a new phone -my husband always get my hand me downs and my son could care less about mobile technology - so the worst case scenario my bill will increase by $25 if I decide to buy an iPhone and not pay cash like I did my 5s

Verizon is a good company - I just live in a big city and don't travel to rural areas soon I decided save money in my wireless bill

Lol you posted the same thing in two threads, but I own shares in both wireless companies, so I'm happy you didn't go tmobile. But you answered my question.

Looks like that Canadians are getting overcharge.

Telus $75 before tax, 6GB, My10, unlimited text message, and 200 mins (but I don't call people on my phone - phones are no longer used for calling people)

I used to live in England, I like their system where you don't get charge or loss your minutes when other people call you. Thus only one person is getting charged during a phone call, whereas in US and Canada both parties get charged, so its double the rate if you think about it.

Wow wow wow... you have to pay to receive a call across the pond? bummer :/ ....

Not really.

Verizon 2-Year
$210 * 24 = $5,040
$200 * 3 = $600 (iPhone 16GB)
--------------------
$5,640 (before any upgrade fees)

Verizon Edge ($20 savings per line)
$150 * 24 = $3,600
$650 * 3 = $1,950 (iPhone 16GB)
--------------------
$5,550

AT&T Next 12
$140 * 24 = $3,360
$650 * 3 = $1,950 (iPhone 16GB)
--------------------
$5,310

AT&T plus T-Mo

AT&T = $240.00 per month for the maximum 5 lines on the family plan:
Line 1: iPhone 5 (Mom)
Line 2: iPhone 5c (daughter)
Line 3: iPhone 4s (daughter)
Line 4: feature phone (daughter)
Line 5: feature phone (daughter)

T-Mo = $30.00 Wal-Mart Plan
Line 1: Lumia 925 (Dad)

Total: $270.00

Thinking of trying a ridiculously inexpensive plan from Republic Wireless and trying a Moto X. (I'm a phone pantheist and also have an iPhone 3gs and an HTC One.) If the iPhone 6 has some decent screen real estate, I"ll get back in the Apple saddle again.

200 dollars over two years on edge to me is inconsequential if VZW serves you better. The fact the VZW still has subsidies might work in peoples favor.

Don't mind that guy. He likes to critique everything. He refuses to acknowledge tmobile as a viable alternative for lots of consumers, and criticizes other peoples phone plans for some reason.

This thread is just about what peoples monthly iPhone bill is. I said mine was a dealer line , 2000 min unlimited text and data for 10 a month (about 12 after tax). He said there's no way that's possible, then when I said its a dealer line he said it doesn't count, like he's the judge in this thread on what's acceptable lol.

Ignore the person in the mirror lol.

If my employer gives me my iPhone with unlimited everything and my bill is zero, that's great, but it's a special situation requiring something out of the ordinary to occur and probably not really the scope of the thread.

EE Business here

£86 a month:

2 Year contract.

2 x Iphone (2 x 64gb phones which came free)
Unlimited landline / mobile calls
180 minutes of international calls per month
Unlimited texts
3 x ipad / dongle / mifi sims

24gb of data shared between devices.

I agree, service where you need it is foremost consideration and yes, the subsidies might work for some people. Obviously though, MsRandall feels she gets decent enough coverage on AT&T and she clearly isn't someone who benefits from the enforced subsidies.

The thing is, your numbers show there there isn't any great disparity in pricing. ATT allowing BYOD has an advantage, but if the device had to be bought it's really a wash. And yes subsidized pricing may continue to work for some people.

My bill isn't zero though. And again I don't understand why you feel the need to qualify other peoples posts. Again, the name of the thread is what's your monthly iPhone bill.

It's just an opinion, a bill of zero or 10 is something 99.9% of people cannot get and requires a unique and special situation.

So what? I can't avail of any of the plans on 3 or Orange unless I move to the UK but that doesn't mean I don't find it interesting to see how much folks on the other side of the pond pay.

I didn't say that. If you move to the UK you could get the plan like 100% of the people living in the UK. What do you think is the percentage of people getting a dealer line for 10 bucks?

Again he thinks he's the qualifier of acceptable phone plans that count and can be posted on this thread, even though he's not the op. Never mind that he's on a legacy Verizon unlimited plan that isn't available to customers anymore

VZW has 103 million subscribers, you have to believe a fair number still have grandfathered plans. Not to mention there was no special work requirement to get "the plan", just sign up as a regular customer.

That's fine. I never had an issue with what you're paying and whether it "counts". Nor should u have an issue with mine and what I pay and whether it "counts".

Haha well that explains quite a few things.

Lol it does explain a lot doesn't it. Def see the bias.

how is this working for you? what kind of speeds do you see? does Visual voice mail work?

thinking of passing on my iPhone 5 when my contract (and the phone can be unlocked) is up to my wife and getting her AIO or Straight talk since she's a light user.

Working great. I'm using a verizon iPhone 5 so no LTE for me. I'm getting 1.5 to 4 Mbps down. Pings are high. VVM works fine. It was plug and play with my sim card. no apn changing or anything.

thanks for sharing your experiences. what kind of ping rates do you see? is it really that noticeable a lag?

i'm guessing my wife won't notice since this would be her first smartphone experience anyway. :)

my iphone5 is an AT&T GSM, so she will likely see higher rates, but again, i think she'd be satisfied with what you are experiencing.

My plan with at&t:
Nation 450 with rollover (450 anytime, 5000 N&W minutes, unlimited M2M)
Unlimited text messages with M2AM
Unlimited data

Total is 79.99 (39.99+20+10) - 22% FAN discount + taxes = $69.82 per month

iPhone 5s on Rogers in Canada:

- 300 local minutes + unlimited weekends & after 6 PM + unlimited Canada-wide Rogers to Rogers
- Unlimited SMS
- 6 GB data
- Caller ID, voicemail, call waiting

$54 + misc. fees + tax = ~$63

Stop all the calculation already! They are making my head hurts.

Just admit we are all being ripped off by giant corporations.
