I thought with the arrival of MBP2018, the waiting hell were ended. Now that we discover so many problems with the MBP2018 across different configurations, I am still in this hell of spending full time checking current user's reviews, test results and wonder if I should look for other manufacturers.

Given that Apple has been producing machines with issues for 3+ years (we wasted over a year waiting for the redesign which lead to problems with keyboard of 2016, 2017 and perhaps also 2018 models and now thermal throttling).

Looks like the only way to break out of Apple's waiting hell is to stop using Apple computers.

It's a "hell" completely of your making. The new 2018 MBPs are excellent machines, and they've improved the KB with a silicone membrane. The KB is also covered for 4 YEARS. Every laptop throttles, and that should be a non-issue for you as this machine will be faster than your 2010 one by a ridiculously large margin. In the real world, 99% of people have no problems. You're spending way too much time on these forums and getting influenced by the rantings of a vocal few. If you're been running your business on an ancient 2010 MBP, then I find it hilarious you're so worried about throttling on such a faster machine, throttling that seems consistent with other processors and previous Macbooks. Youtubers have focused on it because every Apple release needs a "scandal" for clicks, and in the absence of anything else, people have pretended to make this into a thing.

But truly, you should probably seek some real help, since you've stated how "depressed" you are, how you spend entire days refreshing this website for updates, and how you've had "no productivity" for 2.5 years. That has absolutely nothing to do with Apple, and everything to do with your own decisions and mental health. Seems like you have some kind of irrational obsessiveness. Buy the new MBP, and be open-minded enough to adjust to the new KB. I did, and I haven't looked back. I can type faster with less effort. It will be such a massive improvement in every single respect, from performance, to weight, to screen, audio, etc. Or, buy something else. But stop the incessant whining and self-destruction, negativity and cynicism, it doesn't benefit you or anyone. And stop waiting for a magical product that may never exist. Somehow, everyone else in the world is getting by with whats available, and I'm sure you'll be more than fine for YEARS to come with the latest MBP since you've been chugging with your almost decade old model with apparently not enough incentive to upgrade. Something tells me you don't use your machine for anything intensive at all.

If you could get a million hits on youtube by lamenting about the shortcomings of Dell and Lenovo notebooks, youtube would be full of such videos.

As it is, nobody really cares and as such, Apple's problems usually get totally overblown.

This causes lots of stress, anger, depression and frustration. Rather than going out to make new friends, just keep checking my phone for suitable replacement of MBP and news about the situation of the keyboard.
:p:D There is no way this is serious.
People are too easily trolled.

If you can find one.
Oh there's plenty of good windows laptops. Most of them don't have the issues that the MBP has incurred in the past.

You will not find a trackpad as good as the ones on Apple laptops, that's sure
True, Apple leads the industry regarding the trackpad. Dell's is very good, Razer is decent if not good. I've heard some really good things about Lenovo, and the Surface Book laptops have probably the best trackpad int he windows sector.

Given the price point of many Windows laptops you can get a very good laptop for less then money then what apple charges.

I don’t buy used, refurbished or anything from eBay.
I agree. EBay spooks me as well, especially with the latest Rossman YouTube video where he speculates the bent pin inside of one of the laptops he was repairing was probably purchased from a seller who tried to do their own repair, messed it up, then tried to unload it onto someone through eBay.

If you're looking for used/refurbished macs of any kind, I've found ipowerresale.com out if CA to be a reliable source with a very good warranty and after sale support. I recently purchased a 2010 Mac Pro 5,1 from them and it's been running very smoothly, I sort of regretted the decision for about an hour yesterday after watching the latest Snazzy Labs hackintosh video where he built a new machine for less than half of what I paid refurbished, and the benchmarks are almost double what mine are, but I still don't think that route is for me at this point, maybe in another couple of years...

Best of luck and hope you get you situation sorted to your satisfaction. Bro. Hahahah jk

I often hear people saying that Windows laptops' trackpad are not as good as the MBP's. Maybe I have a low standard in this case. I went to Bestbuy weeks ago to try out various trackpads. In short period testing, they all seemed good. To me, the trackpad on my X1E certainly is as good as that of the MBP.

So @hajime what did you end up doing?

I'm in a similar boat (but without the depression) with the 2012 rMBP 15".

I am wondering about getting a 2018 MBA or MBP (low end non-i9 model) to tide me over until a 2019+ MBP solves some of the issues.

I bought a X1E and returned it due to noisy fans. There is a life outside Mac! You should try Windows laptops.

Returned it for a new X1E or back to waiting?

I think about it but I'd rather not.
I deal with Dell & Lenovo laptops and Windows all day :)
