Apparently repetition is necessary; I still don't think he gets it.Heh, multi-page thread of people just basically repeating the same thing.

Darn I'm confused... lol
ah ha.
so i would HAVE TO wipe the phone to get the public release?
Here is my experience. I was on the last dev beta of 9.3.3. When 9.3.3 went live I wasn't offered an upgrade, while my friends it was offered as an upgrade.that IS the entire point...
will the public release of ios 10 even be offered on a phone that already has the public beta GM installed?
whether or why anyone would want to reinstall the "identical" software was not the question ... will it be offered, as it would be on a phone that is still on 9.3.whatever ?

When 9.3.4 came out, it was a full install for me. 1.x gigs. I would expect a similar type of scenario here. If the public release is the same build, no software update. The next update will be a full install though. With or without the profile.
I backup once a week. I have never had my phone bricked by an upgrade, but if you are the cautious type, then nothing wrong with backing up.Should I be doing the usual double backup every time, even for a x.x.x update?

I use itunes backup. Mostly I backup due to the pictures, but it never hurts to have a current backup, for reasons other than an OTA update bricks your phone. You can lose the phone or damage the phone etc.So you backup REGARDLESS of whether there's an update or not?
Doesn't iCloud automatically do daily backups?

There are no new wallpapersThe build is usually the same between GM and Public but there is usually added stuff like new wallpapers in the public release.
I have a question.
I put on the public beta profile so I can install the 10 GM. Should I now delete the Beta Profile or just leave it on there?
I wasn't sure if I left the beta profile on there if I would still get updates as usual or not.
Forgive the question, but this is the first time I put on the beta profile.
How has this thread reached 3 pages
The GM is the same as the public release - it had to be as phones are already on route to the retailers.
The only way that might have changed is if there had been a major security breach between last week's event and tomorrow.
There hasn't been, so anyone with the GM will just continue to receive updates as normal as they are released.
No need to do anything . . .
Excellent - I thought as much, just wanted to confirm. It's a GM, so not a beta. Future updates will install fine. Just remove the beta profile and reboot.
No problem. If Apple release 10.0.2 today or tomorrow or whenever (if a bug is discovered) then the update will show up fine on your devices running 10.0.1.Excellent - I thought as much, just wanted to confirm.
Many thanks!

If you keep the profile on your device and they release beta 1 of 10.1 (that could be this week or next actually) then that would show up unless you remove it.
