The battery of my 5S is very bad...this is all my settings...

LTE On and Auto-Brightness OFF (put it to around 30-40%).

Battery

DesignCapacity: 1550
FullChargeCapacity: 1427
Status: Success
BatteryCurrentCapacity: 52
BatteryIsCharging: true
ExternalChargeCapable: true

Never be able to do more than 5 hours of usage !!!

Need to make an appointment to Apple Store ??

same situation here. My first 5S was great and then I cracked the screen and got a replacement one on which I never got above 6 hours of usage. I am now at 55% with 2.5 hours usage. Would like to get input as well as to whether or not this warrant a defective phone...?

Got my iPhone this past Sunday. Charged it up, and have been on battery ever since.

I am currently at 3% remaining, and have usage of 6h25m, and standby of 1d6h. About 10 hours of that time was on wifi, the rest on LTE. Bluetooth on the whole time too.

I am pretty happy with that, especially since my GS3 was awful.

Iphone 5s, best iphone battery to date

Could you post what your serial number starts with?

Also for everyone with great batter life could you post what the serial number begins with? Currently I have one with DNP and get horrible batter life.

Yesterday i plug it into the computer when i comeback from work and now i got 1 hour of 22 usage and 13 hours 1 minute in stand by...Battery left at 86%...

It's not the first time i see this, when i plug it into the iMac i got better battery result...

Best I got from my 5S I think.

5h 5min usage and 1d 13h standby with 18% left.

I have a similar experience . If I do not use gaming I get 6hrs. With 30 min 3D gaming 5 hrs. Tom I will try with 3G off to see if it's because of low reception.

Another full cycle on mine

Another full cycle on mine

What does your serial number begin with? Like the first 2 or 3? And does it have a FFF towards the end? I have a 5S with a DNP___FFF_. And get bad battery life. So just trying to narrow it down.

Excellent so far. Notably better than my iPhone 5 was. Perhaps it's the M7 chip keeping the phone in low-power modes when it's just resting on a table.

Received mine from UPS and fully charged up to 100% about 14 hours ago. Now at 1% with about 8 1/2 usage time. Seems much better than my 4, 4S and my old iPhone 5. :)

Begins in DNP but only FF, not FFF.

How?

What settings do you have? 3G/Wifi/Bluetooth/location services etc.

Bluetooth and Siri disabled, reduce motion on, wifi on but some GPRS use during the cycle, 3G is enabled but there was no 3G signal. Location services limited to Camera and Find My iPhone.

In the mornings when I remove the phone from the charger, it automagically drops to 99%, and battery percentage lowers pretty fast. Used 30 minutes of TuneIn Radio, got to work an hour ago, was at 92%.

Yesterday, I did my top up method after I unplugged it, it dropped to 99%, I then waited a few minutes, charged it for 15 minutes, unplugged was at 100%. Did the same routine, 30 minutes of TuneIn Radio on the bus, got the work 98%.

One thing I have noticed, is my contract doesn't have LTE/4G as it's not a decent enough service in my area. However by turning off the Enable 4G option my battery life has increased by quite a bit! So maybe worth experimenting with turning this function off to see if it's that draining all your battery.

sometimes my 5s will stay at 100% all night if I charge it fully or stay around the percentage that I left it (give or take 3 or 4%), but some nights it drops more than 10% with no apps running and just sitting there...not sure why or if that is common, but I have noticed that

Just got my iPhone 5S.

Charged it to 100% and ran it down until it shut off on its own.

I got a little of 8 hrs usage after that first charge.

My usage included:

- calls
- texts
- web surfing
- itunes music for a couple of hours

I was previously running an Android phone for the last 2 years.

The Galaxy Nexus that I was running would get approx 4 ~ 5 hrs with the same usage as above.

A single charge of the iPhone 5S should get me about 2 days with my current routine.

I'm very happy with battery life.

Hi everyone! This is my statistics: 7h 9 min of use, 9h 52min of standby.
All this time the wi-fi was on, location, airdrop and bluetooth were off, few apps were running in background. Mostly all this time the phone was rather intensively used for browsing, whatsapp, instagram and twitter. Is it ok or do I have a problem with the battery?
Btw how to check if my 5s was in that defective batch with draining batteries Apple was talking about?

Mines been absolutely terrible. Had it for about a month and I can't get over 5 hours with it. I'm not power using it, and have tweaked all the settings to save power.
Apple are replacing it today thankfully. I hope they give me a brand new one and not a refurbished one.

Battery on my 5s is much better than my iPhone 4. I have about 30% by the time I'm out of classes where I use it for non stop lol.

Mine too. I could still get up to 8 hours on my 3 year old iPhone 4 but that was constant use and reduced if the phone was left on standby. I charged it every day, but now I don't need to and I don't recall my 4 ever being like that.
