Just came home to Apple after leaving the Note 3 and did a fresh restore and on my 2nd charge cycle and this is how my usage is. I don't think it's that well but I will see if it gets better. Any thoughts??

Actually isn't too bad, especially if your network coverage isn't too strong (as the picture shows)

Like mentioned above, it could be because of your signal. I used to have AT&T and Verizon on a 4S and could barely get two hours use and 18 hrs standby. When I switched to T-Mobile, my usage doubled and standby went to two days.

Now on T-Mobile on my 5S, i get 1.5-2 days with 6-9 hrs use on 2-3 bars signal.

Yeah when I'm in my home it don't get the best signal and my location of my wireless router gives me a weak signal in my home as well so a combination of both I'm assuming is causing a little bit of drain.

Running 7.1b5 and coming from a Galaxy s4. Sometimes I think my iPhone is made of Wizard Magic from the battery life.

wow looks like u'd be getting around 12 hours then, what are your settings?

bluetooth off, brightness half, most apps are not allowed to access location services, background refresh off, most system services are turned off, I'm connected to wi-fi constantly when I'm home (but LTE stays turned on in the background)

I got 7.5 hrs before I plugged it in at 19% last night.

I had my iPhone replaced shortly after the new year so I have a new battery and a clean install of the OS (I didn't restore from backup). I get between 6 & 8 hours a day.

When it comes to iPhone battery life it really depends what you use it for. On my days off and I'm on facebook and tumblr a lot my battery drains crazy fast (it will be dead after 4 or 5 hours). On days where I'm on the phone a lot (FaceTime Audio or Skype Audio) or listening to music via headphones I'll get up to 8 or 9 hours.

And the battery drain is not at all linear. 100 to 90% drops fast but after that it feels like the battery drains slower...?

Just my $0.02.

This. :) I stopped looking at the usage screen. Now it's how long is the phone off the charger, before I have to put it back on the charger. I find the surfing the web, probably due to keeping the screen active, uses a lot of battery. Location services tend to use the most battery, imo. On days I'm on the phone for extended periods of time, I find that battery life is good, supporting my observation the screen takes a lot of battery power.

You must have gotten one of those nuclear powered iPhones apple has been working on by mistake. :D

They say using one is only the equivalent exposure of 5 X-rays per day, so you are only reducing your lifespan by 20 years. Obviously a fair trade off.

On any phone the screen is the biggest draw thats nothing new.

I would have thought with today's lcd screens, battery draw from the screen would be minimal. Certainly GPS and data, so I thought, would use up more battery power.

My Garmin on my bicycle has a tiny battery yet will use GPS for like 6-7 hours straight.

Battery life

I wish my iphone 5s had as much of a good battery as my ipad 3!!!! Dreaming aha :D

Hello everybody!
My iphone 5s battery life sucks! Literally!!! I have the phone changed ( a brand new one for a refurbished and little scuffed one) a month ago for the battery not doing correctly....
I could reach barly 5:30 hours with my usage ( iMessage, what's app, a little Facebook and web browsing). I have deactivated background refresh, spotlight search, even the parallax and I have notification push only for whatsapp, Facebook messenger and 1 mail account. I close all the apps after every use and I have no localization service for the system ( only weather, Siri and camer) I don't take many pics and I have also tried with setting the brightness manually to the minimum visible....
Yesterday I'm gone to the apple store and the "genius" said me that is all ok ( one other genius have a 5s and had 2 hours of use with 79% of remaining battery..... I do 2 hours with 40% of battery... The genius told me that is the same usage.... Really a stupid)
So when I returned home I have called the apple service and they suggested me to restore the iphone from another PC because I have crashes from safari and a few other apps..... I have done this with the Mac mini of my father and now I am waiting, but I'm not very confident in a result.... On the telephone the call center girl said me that I can send the iphone with courier to repair, but she is not sure that the technicians can replicate the problem.... So there is the possibility that they will not replace my phone again...
I'm a bit disappointed from apple... Please give me your advice on this situation
