Surprised that nobody's made a thread about this yet.
The M10 could be vey interesting. The M9 was a mediocre phone, with very little change from the M8, and thus sold badly. So HTC now need a chance to redeem the M line, and the M10 could be the perfect opportunity to bring HTC back to its former glory. Here are my general predictions based on the M9, A9 and X9, and on the general trends that OEMs are taking, and that HTC have taken in the past:
5.5-inch AMOLED 2560x1440 534ppi
Snapdragon 820
3180mAh
4GB RAM
32/64GB
Expandable up to 2TB.
NFC
Fingerprint scanner
General predictions/suggestions:
Same overall design as the A9. Yes, it is iPhone like, but its still a good design. Shrink the bezels though, that was a strong disadvantage of the A9.
Removal of the front logo. Please! It's an eyesore, it serves no purpose, and it takes up bezel space. They should be banned.
Capacitive buttons. Looking at the A9 and X9, I see them returning. Capacitive home button on the fingerprint scanner, with back and recent apps alongside it.
Redesigned speakers. Perhaps squeeze thinner ones on the top and bottom edges. Similar to the One X9, but hopefully more minimalistic and less ugly.
Same camera as A9 and X9. It's not the best, but it's definitely an improvement.
