are you keeping it? I'm 50/50 but leaning towards returning it.

I'm 70/30 leaning towards returning it. I need reliable e-mail plain and simple. iOS and Blackberry are the ones that provide this. The One X is a great phone, but i feel like Android is holding it back. I'm going to give it a couple more days.

More phones NEED stock ICS. I think these skins like sense, and touch wiz potentially keep me from jumping on a phone like this. The hardware on this device is awesome! but I just cannot get excited about a skinned version of android.

They all resist it as it is as skinning is a differentiator. From all I have read with Sense 4.0, it is far less intrusive than Sense 3.5 etc and does add value in several areas. Touchwiz does not seem to have changed all that much.

I'd be tempted to pick this phone up just to mess around with it until the next iPhone and then sell it when the new iPhone comes out but I have TONS of apps I hate to lose.

You can do what I'm planning on doing. Use an old iPhone as an iPod touch. I don't intend to take it out of a WiFi area because its next to useless, but it still solves the problem of losing all of your iOS applications. And it's free.

I have an iPad so I should be fine. ;)

I'm picking one up at 12 when the AT&T store opens. I just need a change I've had an iPhone for four years now. The one x is everything I wish the iPhone 4s was

Well I gave it two days. I will be returning it mon. The screen is amazing. It is like the 4S screen but blown up in size. I feel it is just as good quality but better since the digitizer and screen are one piece and it makes the icons look like they are floating on top of the screen. The iphone 5 will have the same type of screen. The phone is fast. But not usable fast is that makes any sense. The one X specs is like what the iphone 5 specs will be similar too, but without iOS.

One thing that is nice is that the coating on the gorilla glass 2 for the one x takes care of finger prints better than the iphone 4S.

iOS is more fluid and just as fast with a slower processor. The screen of the One X, processor, is better than the iphone 4S. Camera about the same quality.

Cons for me:

Browsers for Android are lacking in my opinion. There isn't a good one out there as good on iOS for my needs. Atomic browsers full screen buttons that you can make transparent takes advantage of all the screen real estate on the small 4S screen and it's easy to use. Imagine that on a 4+ iphone 5.

Chrome for Android doesn't have full screen yet, and Dolphin HD browser has this funky black menu bar on the side which you cannot get rid of. As well as most browsers on Android market have this same black menu bar.

Tap to zoom works some of the time. Not as fluid or accurate as iOS.

The calendar app doesn't have the day in the icon on the screen like iOS. You can download a widget that has this but that takes up a quarter of the screen. E'mail client is not as good as iOS. You cannot use your contacts in
the gmail app. But you can on the default HTC e'mail app and sync to gmail.

The phone isn't bad. But after you use iOS which just "works'. It is hard to go over to anything else. The expiriment lasted two days. You will not see me doing that again. I don't blame anyone who does, as its a nice phone, but not for my needs. Nothing wrong with android ICS, but for me it doesn't work with the Apple ecosystem i have in place. Nor do i feel it is as good.

Bring on the iphone 5. :)

I played around with the One S for about an hour at a T-Mobile store today. Easily the best Android phone I've ever seen. Blows the Galaxy Nexus away IMO.

Most reviews are saying the AT&T One X is even better. If so, you can't go wrong with it.

I've made the decision to stick with the iPhone 4S, but it's tough. If I could justify the cost, I would buy a One S and just use two phones. But I can't.

Can you explain the problem you have with the One X and 'reliable' email? That's a big swipe to take at the One X without details. I've heard nothing negative about it's email capability. In fact, I hear almost nothing negative about the phone at all (aside from the asinine decision to only have about 10gig usable space on it)

Please elaborate.

ICS Browser + quick controls & full screen enabled.

Can't get much more full screen than that. :)

I was going to pick up an HTC One X today but then last night I began having second thoughts. For one, I've invested way too much in iOS apps and don't want to do the same with Android. Maybe I will go down that road if iOS 6 doesn't look to pleasing. Not to mention I also have about 15 different iPhone 4S cases and love to change it weekly and don't want to invest in One X cases.

The other main reason I wanted pass on the One X is because it might not even get its bookloader unlocked becasue AT&T is stubborn and doesn't want it unlocked. I love loading custom roms onto my Androids and this is an issue.

The final thing was reading about all the wifi issues. People on XDA are reporting its fine for the first couple of hours then disconnecting rapidly and it doesn't like when your far from the router.

So I decided on the One X and I hope they can resolve the wifi issues. I also didn't find the camera to be on par with the 4S.

bout to get mine in a bit im so excited:D HTC One X att/rogers should of came with 32GB like the international version instead of the 16GB..i know they offer like 25/30GB of drop box cloud but that right there is just a reason to get slown down when you hit a limit of 5GB data use on unlimited data and most people that dont have unlimited data have to pay a higher price or a fee when they go over there data usage due to cloud will eat up data fast and not only that 4G LTE is nice and fast but also eats up data fast depends on user* glad i still have my unlimited data 5GB of data before getting slown down. 5GB is good enough for my use i hit around that much in a month or maybe more..

also dont like the AT&T logo on top looks tacky and i dont like to advertise...rogers Canada HTC One X dont have a carrier logo and can be unlocked bootloader and can be used on AT&T 4G LTE..i assume that AT&T is locking it up right now till the contract is over or you pay the early fee cancel..always a catch with AT&T:rolleyes: but i have no use for unlock atm so im good:D

Trying to buy one of these as a second phone without a contract, AT&T will sell you it at $800ish but the only data plans they offer you without a contract is prepaid " Go " plans and they have tiny data limits?

Strange - maybe i just need to call AT&T - Between 3 iPhones, and 2 iPads and international travel i spend over $500 in the average month with them.

I also have a T-Mobile account but that won't work for this phone.

Anyways, looks like a great phone.

So i've had the One X since Thursday. Awesome phone but Android will never be as "Smooth" as iOS. My biggest gripe is the Mail app, it is very unreliable with exchange accounts. You cannot rely on it to push when an e-mail comes in like you can with iOS and Blackberry. Other than this, it's an amazing phone. ATT LTE ftw

Have you considered looking at some of the other mail clients out there. K9 is a pretty popular one that a of people like to use. Since my primary email is Gmail I have never dug into it very deeply.

Indeed - Yeah i want the HSDPA+ and LTE effect for the One X or I'd stick the TMO sim in it. I suppose i could just swap sims from the iPhone - they are both Microsims i believe but that is a pain and you really are not "supposed" to do that based on the contract.

Got my phone yesterday. Coming from the 4s it is very refreshing. It is definitely a great phone. My biggest issue is the size. I always thought I wanted a bigger phone but it's not comfortable using one handed. I'm actually getting that itch for my iPhone.

Let us know if you get used to it, one handed use on these phones are a big concern for many of us.

I changed my mind put my sim card back in my 4S saw that little screen and had to go back to the one do ( don't use the iphone sim card removal tool too big messed up hole a little bit.) Blame my mistakes on user error. Sears this phone is a keeper. What I got use to it it is just fantastic. I think I had culture shock from using I o s for the last 5 years years.

It is basically an iphone 5 in your hands running android ICS.

I have all my saved apps on the android device that I did on my iphone you can even set up folders the same way you do on the iphone. It is the best browser for full screen glory with no black bars.

I had to tweak me sets to get it to run smoothly but now that it is running smoothly than a 4 s. I c s is really impressive. Voice actions is more accurate than siri I am typing this with voice actions. The one x has the most powerful processor on the market right now running in the one xl the snapdragon s 4 processor.

I don't see how anyone complain about the battery that lasts just as long as my former 4 s. The battery on this phone is the best battery on any android device with a snapdragon s4 very very very good. The only android device that is better is the razor android device with the 3000mah batterery. Checkout andatech's review of the onexl.

I feel strongly that Apple will lose some current iPhone customers to the One X. The reason being is timing. People are antsy for a new iPhone (especially iPhone 4 early adopters like myself). This October isn't that far away, but it's long enough where people will simply find it hard to resist the upgrade before this fall.

I like I o s software but that little screen was killing me. A 4.7 retina display or 3.5? Not a very hard decision. ICS is fantastic also.

Now I may still get an iphone 5 depending on what they do but it but as of right now the one x l is a fantastic device and I don't wanna get rid of it for anything.
