Lot of people seem to prefer the SG3 to the HTC One X ... is it really that much better?

As for the US version, the only advantage the SG3 has are removeable battery, additional SD storage, and kernel source released. I don't care about the first two, but a lot of others do.

Alleged HTC One X+ specs show a slight upgrade over original model

Specs of the purported 'HTC One X+' have been leaked in a tweet from XDA-Developers member Football, the source of several leaks regarding the HTC 'Accord.' If the leak is accurate, the One X+ will be a small step up from the original One X, with a slightly more powerful 1.6GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor and a 1.7GHz power-saving "companion core." Also, Football claims that the One X+ will ship with Android 4.1 and version 4.5 of HTC's Sense UI, but is otherwise mostly identical to the original One X. Provided the specs are accurate, it's not entirely clear where the One X+ fits into HTC's lineup — but we may find out more at the company's event next week.

Quad core with NVidia, 4.1 JB and 4.5 sense are some pretty good things. Its supposed to come to T-Mobile so we shall see.

I've had both the 1X and the SG3.

I like the 1X a lot better.

1. Screen is superior.
2. Sense is much better than TouchWiz
3. Better Widget selection
4. Much, Much, Much more aesthetically pleasing than SG3

What more do you need if SD card isn't a problem for you!?

The only thing Samsung did better with the SG3 was unify it by making it the same physically and branding wise across all carriers.

HTC definitely needs to employ that strategy the next time around.

Also, on a side note STOP GIVING SPRINT EXCLUSIVES, it's only hurting you.

The guts of the HTC EVO 4G LTE mixed with the housing on the ONE X should have been 1 phone and marketed as such.

I guarantee, the landscape would look a lot different right now.

I really want HTC to be the manufacturer of the next Nexus phone. Just imagine the Galaxy Nexus with SIII power, One XL build, and One XL camera. Stock Jellybean. Unlocked bootloader. How likely is this?

If the HOX had allowed for an external sd card, a removable battery, and had been available at my att store, I would have given it serious consideration. But making your phone more like an iPhone is not the solution htc.
