This time I'm sticking with one of my phones until I get a new one or one stops working. I'm going to stop switching between my Android and iPhone. I'm going to...

That's what I'm telling myself anyway.

Why can't I be happy with a single phone? D:

The first problem is this forum. Block it on every device you can access it on. The nexus 6 wasn't even something I was considering until here.

The other addicts enable and it's a vicious cycle that we all feed into.

Man is it fun!:D

This is what I am trying to tell myself. I had pretty much gotten out of the switching game since I bought an iPhone 5S. I then got the iPhone 6+, and was very happy. About 2 months ago I was getting really tired of my Pebble steel, and wanted something with a color display, and could do more. I was so disappointed by the by the Apple watch that I decided to come back to android, and get the moto 360.

Now I am telling myself I can't buy another phone. Keep the iPhone 6+ and nexus 6 until they don't work well any more, or they break. We will see how that goes. I am not very good at this.

I cannot even be happy with a single phone on each OS, including Windows and Blackberry. :)

Peer pressure is a mother...

Haha I know. I have been beating myself up for the past few days about what new device I am going to run when I know I am perfectly happy with my 6 Plus but like I said earlier, I am missing the rooting and XDA community.

So, I'm struggling a bit with battery compared to others.

I'm running Chroma along with Franco Kernel and getting the following results.

I did update the rom so maybe it just needs to settle.

^ Google services seems high. That's likely the impacter there.

I don't know if this will help you but - I always turn off google location history as I find that to be one of biggest drains on any android device.

Wear app was just updated in preparation for 5.1. Nice UI with things like cloud sync.

Where can I locate that setting? Is it my GPS?

Edit: just found it! Thanks for the advice.

Yeah I think it will also add WiFi connection for some of the watches. Pretty excited about it.

So you don't use the commute info? I was going to turn it off, but I like the drive home traffic updates when I am leaving work.

Getting very solid battery life after final tinkering to my notification settings, max brightness, and wifi all day at work and home.

Better than I thought it would be

No, I live in rural Ireland. What's it going to tell me? There are cattle crossing the road and be wary of tractors ;)

In reality it only ever told me how far I was from home. Something I didn't need my phone to tell me.

Turning it off therefore made no difference to me, but the battery difference is very noticeable indeed.

What do you mean? They're simply screenshots captured with power+vol down held for few seconds.

Battery info is simple to get to. Swipe down to notification goggle and press on the battery icon to jump straight to battery usage.

Click on screen / display to see your SOT

Oh well that make sense. I am going to try turning if off today, and see if it makes a difference or not. If it's a big enough one I might just keep it turned off.

I also use high accuracy for location. Do you turn yours down? It told me I needed to keep it high if I was using my moto 360.

Yeah mine is set to battery saving (wifi and mobile network).

I am sure that helps battery too. I also run Bluetooth all the time too for the moto 360. I don't have terrible battery life, but most of the time I can't make through a day without charging it some.

I could have kept the ip6 Plus as well as owning the Nexus 6 but I chose not to.

Each device on the market has their pros and cons, to constantly compare one can cause paralysis by analysis much like a golf swing. :)

What did you do to your notification settings to get this?

I just went through every app and decided which ones I didnt want any notifications from and could live without them pushing.

I also updated which ones woke the screen even in ambient display.

I use max brightness as I think it is the optimal setting for the screen and really makes it worthy of the QHD so I adjusted other areas to compensate.

I also have it set to kick in battery saver at 15% which didnt happen last night until around 1030 so I was still good.

Overall I am very impressed and I can mark that concern off the list in coming from the 6+. Is it as good, not at all but it is perfectly acceptable for what I normally utilize my phone for.
