Doesn't anyone dump the dock? I just think it takes up too much space on the screen and I have phones with big displays regardless.

I dont want a launcher as I love the stock look and feel of the device minus this piece but I will get over it and my OCD will just have to chill. :)

I think I finally have the device set up to where I want it with notification sounds, settings, screen layout, apps, and such.

The battery life continues to be a concern but I will need to just get over it and realize it is not a 6+ and set up ways to combat that. I am getting a couple of wireless chargers for home and office as well as possibly another fast charger for work instead of carrying mine around all the time.

I use max brightness which I think makes the screen really hit its potential and I know its not good for the battery life but it makes the device so much more enjoyable.

So far I am really enjoying it coming from my 6+.

I find the search bar functional as it serves much like spotlight where I can search for apps without scrolling through the app drawer or any other google content.

No. Tried it but prefered to have it.

You could use latest beta of Nova. You get near stock look but with tons of customisibility. The only thing I miss is swipe left to google now when using nova.

How are you getting to Google Now then? I set it up for a swipe up by editing the app icon on some devices, on others no choice but to use the Google icon.

Anyone rocking any of the D brand skins?

Some of these pics make this thing look amazing.

I am naked right now as I like the white back but its pretty slippery and was unsure if the skins actually add some grippability. If thats a word :)

http://www.reddit.com/r/nexus6/comments/2nwkmq/dbrand_nexus_6_skinscases_thread/

I've used matte black from Dbrand and black leatherette from slickwraps. They both add a little bit of texture with matte black being the better of the two. Currently, I am using clear gloss from armorsuit and just ordered clear matte from bestskinsever.

I really dont want to case this thing as its already plenty big but also worry about it slipping.

I wish there was a Apple leather 6+ comparable for the N6 as that was minimal and provided awesome grip.

Yeah I love my apple leather case. It looks great and protects the device just enough for me.

I predominantly just use my nexus naked with exception of the regular screen protector and the dbrand skin.

Nothing beats the Apple leather case. That by far is the best case I have owned. It makes me miss my iPhone a little. I could just pop my Sim back in it, but then I could not use my moto 360.

Its really weird, but I really do want to use my 6+ again. In the past you could not pull me away from android, but android just has not taken a hold of me like before. Funny enough it is much better than it was back then. Don't get me wrong I am loving my N6, but there is just something about my 6+. Crossing my finger android wear will get put on iOS sooner rather than later.

Just ordered 2 dbrand skins for the n6

Went with the black titanium and white carbon fiber. Both with the silver titanium m logo and covering the nexus lettering.

Can't wait. Want to add more grip on the stock white back.

If you like ultra thin cases, but still have a lip to cover the front screen, and have a nice rubbery grip feel, this case is just right  Feels great in the hand, and barely adds any bulk. This is almost sort of like the Apple leather case for the iPhone 6, but thinner, with same type of coverage.

Nillkin case for the Nexus 6

I suck at photography, but wanted to show all angles of this case.

I have been going naked but I think I will bite on this case. Thanks.

Going naked as well and ordered some D Brand skins to improve grip but if those dont meet my needs this case may be next for me as well.

I went for the the golden color, I didn't really want the brown which was another offered for free shipping with Amazon Prime which I have.

The black cases are shipped from China and not Prime eligible so longer delivery time.

Maybe not a thing many talk about in coming from the 6+ but I absolutely LOVE going to one app, then to another, and back to the original one with zero refresh of where I was.

Yes I understand due to more RAM but I had refreshes on every other device I have ever owned including Note 3s, IP6, etc. This is essential to me and how I function throughout a work day.

Well done N6.

Wow I've been lurking in the N6 threads for the past few days. Glad that the phone has come around after the 5.1 update. Really tempted to get this phone now.

I am still in my initial review phase which for me is normally 2 weeks or so. I think I finally got the point after 4 days of getting it set to exactly how I want it layout, notification, and apps wise.

Now the true test of running it through my daily work day, weekends away from chargers and lots of pics normally, and then seeing how it does in keeping my interest "fun" wise as a device.

So far...so good.

Thanks....what carrier are you with? I mainly use VZW and wonder if the bootloader and root can be done on that model?

ATT and I haven't ever done that but semi interested in it based on the feedback here.

I'd like to know a list of advantages in doing so to weigh if its worth it or not in my specific case.

There are different kernals and roms you can flash that will get great battery life and add some optimizations. They can add features like the notification light and double tap to wake. There is a ton of development over at XDA.

This time I'm sticking with one of my phones until I get a new one or one stops working. I'm going to stop switching between my Android and iPhone. I'm going to...

That's what I'm telling myself anyway.

Why can't I be happy with a single phone? D:
