Still waiting for mine to work. It's been about 6 days since I did a factory reset on mine so hoping the alerts will start soon.

Along with the tips I provided, I would also do as Bluejelly recommended too, check and make sure you have your addresses saved to your contact for home and work.

One last thing I remember doing as well is, for a few days I would ask Siri to get me directions to home or work. Eventually, the ETA to those places would start showing on my today screen and then I knew the proactive feature was ready. Maybe asking Siri prompts it to assume that you are going to work, home when you ask X amount of times. Hope you get it working soon.

That's a good idea about asking Siri for directions. I definitely have my home and work addresses set up so I'll try that.

Still not working. I don't have the Notification toggle when connected via BT.
I've asked Siri for the ETA and we'll see what happens.

Be sure to be specific as Siri picks up on the patterns, so when you ask, ask for directions home, work or any frequently location and usually if it's at the same time over a span of days, your proactive features should pick up on this with an ETA on your today screen...but if your Bluetooth is on and paired, you'll see the proactive alerts notifications on the notifications tab or lock screen.

Will do. Asked for directions as well. Hopefully something happens eventually.
I miss Google Now's uncanny ability to sense where I will be headed and the traffic information as well as delay or road block warnings!

heres what i have ticked...maybe like you said it has something to do with your actual bluetooth deice that your iPhone is communicating with? I have my iPhone 6 Plus directly paired with my 2013 Honda Accord EX-L. Then everything shows on either the lock screen or under notifications based on my most frequent locations.

So, if I don't have carplay or a car with bluetooth, I will never be able to see that? Please tell me.
I have a car but with no car play or BT paired with it.

I'm not the Apple Oracle on this one, but my guess would be no? :( Maybe if you pair them with some Bluetooth headphones? *fingers crossed and tied with optimism* :)

So yeah....still not getting the alerts. Followed every piece of advice in this thread. So odd...this seems like one of those weird features in iOS where there's no rhyme or reason why it works or not.

I'm not wanting to hijack this thread, I've given up on this iOS "feature". I use the paid ETA app for my regular destinations and the free INRIX app for notifications - no ads, and they just work without any futzing or hoping...

Thanks. I'll check those out. Are they good at adjusting when a traffic incident occurs?

This is pretty straight forward too. it could be something simple. I'm confident you guys can get it working. i was the same way at first but someone else on this forum gave me a few tips, the same ones I'm sharing and it worked.

1.Make sure locations services are on
2. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services System Services and make sure you at least have Location-Based Alerts ticked on .
3. On this same screen, tap Frequent Locations and make sure it is ticked on (you should see places in your location history on this screen) if it has been recognizing your frequent locations.

Yeah I think the big concern is that I have all of those options ticked and it is recognizing my frequent locations but I am still not getting the alerts.

Is the traffic conditions widget enabled in Notification Center?

all of these ticked as well?

Also don't forget to probe Siri with the "get me directions to work/home" as it will then start to assume that's where you're trying to go at certain times like from home to work or vice versa.

You only need frequent locations turned on and your home/work address in your contact card (this has to be selected in mail/contacts/calendar as your contact info)

If you can hop on wifi at work it helps lock the location into frequent locations. Once that's done it'll take a few days to start popping up on your phone.
