attaboy!

Also a Libra. I took a long time to figure out which one I was going to get, if I was even going to. I did (15"Air). Congrats, it is a very great looking machine.
OMG Totally

I went from iMac to Mac Mini to Mac Studio picking out monitors, mouse and keyboard. Then to MBP 14” and then MBP 16” and then all over again. How much ram. What processor and how large a Hard drive. I was visiting the Apple site everyday for a month. It was making me insane.

Anywho, I think I need a beer 🍺

Took me a month to decide cause I‘m a tortured Libra.
Way too many options to choose from and my head almost exploded
MBP 14” 16 GB RAM - 1TB on the way. So exciting

Congrats buddy, enjoy. Apple has certainly muddied the lineup in recent years and Apple Silicon has made the choice even harder. Glad you found a machine you’re happy with.

Same machine I have, exact same specs (except mine is M1). Great choice, you‘ll love it. 🤩

Can I get a attaboy 🤘
Great choice! I am mainly considering that exact spec for my video/photo editing,i just am worried that 16gb of RAM wont be enough, and especially since i cannot upgrade anything at all, so i am stuck with 16GB.
Did you get M2 or M1?
I am still racking my brains like you were, deciding.....its insane! I dont how much ram i need, i know 16gb is probably fine but at the same time i know that Lightroom eats up RAM and especially when stitching/editing high res (20-60MP) photos....i probably want more ram then, but....it drives me nuts!

are you sure you won't want the bigger 16" screen? all that beautiful screen real estate
yeah, same thing im thinking.
I am thinking of getting one of these M1/M2 Pro/Max MBPs and i am deciding between 14" and 16". I really know that the bigger screen is the way to go comfortability wise but i dont want the bulk really. My friend has a 14" laptop, and i find it wayyyy to small for me, and i dont want to feel that way with my new expensive laptop...
I also just dont understand-you get the best laptop display ever but you also get a screen size where your really dont even notice the extra resolution over a 2880x 1800 retina dispay, because the pixel density is already so high lol...but you can really benefit from the extra resolution on the 16", on the 14" the extra resolution is just waste of battery.

Congrats! Took me forever to choose between the 15” MBA, 14” MBP, and 16” MBP.

It boiled down to the 15” MBA vs. the 16” MBP. I like the screen real estate. I use apps side by side all the time. I don’t need the processing or GPU power of the MBP at all, so I thought the MBA would be perfect. When I went to see it in the store I was disappointed. Next to the MBPs, it looked like a toy. The oversized chassis without speaker grills (even faux ones) on the sides looked very cheap and plasticy. And then I looked at the screens side by side. The contrast and quality of the MBP screen alone is a reason to ditch the MBA. And then you start scrolling and see how buttery smooth the ProMotion is and MBA loses any redeeming qualities.
