Just sold my 3rd gen 12.9” iPad for £770 (not a bad return from a 2018 iPad Pro imo) and will use the money towards 12.9” 2TB IPAD PRO

I’ll wait until we learn more about ipadOS 15. If there’s a raft of features that my 2018 1TB 12.9” isn’t capable of, then I’ll bite. The new hardware is great, but nothing that excites me or will make my current experience tangibly better, beyond a better display.

Software-software-software is what interests me.

Now if they’d released a BIGGER iPad, eek! I’d be spamming the Apple store on order day.
My situation exactly. Hopping for at least dual-monitor support in iPadOS 15. If I can just run one app on each screen I’ll be throwing money at them again.

*sigh* same here... so much for no more iPad Pros, but I already have an M1 MBP and do not want the same specs in my desktop Mac. I’ll be trading in my 7th gen iPad and possibly the Air too so...

I really wanted an updated iPad Mini, oh well.
Wow it just hit me. There was no iPad mini! Doh! :(

Fight the hypnotic trance my fellow Apple fans, don't prove Android fans right with the Apple sheep comments ??. In all seriousness, I am not tempted at all to upgrade my 2020 12.9 iPad Pro. Although I feel the upgrade is impressive, this update to me is strictly for creative professionals or maybe people who watch more movies on their iPad Pro than they do on their TVs. I use to get all antsy at the announcement of new Apple products, it didn't matter whether I needed it or not. As I've gotten older, I now look at what I currently own, how I'm using them, and if the new products are a worthy upgrade for me. In the case of iPads, no. I'm to the point where I've been seriously thinking about selling my 12.9 and just going with my iPad Air 4. I find myself using the Air WAAAY more than my 12.9. Now the MacBooks, that's a different story for me as I use my MacBooks in a more professional manner. iPads are still toys for me.

How long do you get to send it back? They’re offering me £330 for my 2017 10.5 which I think is great, but obviously won’t have new iPads in hand for over a month potentially !

The price was locked for 14 days.

I absolutely would if there were a dual boot option into MacOS... beyond that, having had a 1st gen 12.9" and a 2018 11", just prefer the 11" form factor (for me it just performs basic tablet duties). But with all this processing power on tap not having Mac OS is just too much of a line to cross, just not useful for me docked w/ a keyboard and all (I'm a software dev, fwiw).

Really fantastic piece of hardware though and certainly looking forward to what the next version of iPad OS will do to further unlock possibilities offered by such a powerful machine.

It is a place where forum members buy and sell items that they own. The used Mac / iOS items are usually in great shape. You have to have at least 250 posts and be a member 6 months before you get access to the Marketplace Forum.
there was a Marketplace? oh wow... nice

I might be looking to buy a 2020 IPP if the price is right.

Same here I have the 11 inch 256GB iPad Pro 2018 model and Im trading it into apple(I usually sell on craigslist but due to covid I dont feel comfortable meeting anyone in person) on apple trade in site it says my trade in value is 455 but I know someone who might need an ipad so will mention it to her if she wants it will sell it to her instead..for trade in, I know many send theirs into apple but Id rather do it in store, knowing how they work, even though my ipad is perfect they will come up with some phony baloney excuse to give me less so would rather just do it in person..has anyone traded in their apple product in store, how does it work, do you get the gift card on the spot..does every apple store offer it?
Some were suggesting today that for pre order the ipad will sell out instantly I doubt that will happen but I dont want to miss out on getting one but need to get rid of my ipad first before buying another one

It’s a buyers market.

if I sell my 11” Pro and Keyboard for $500 then the base 12.9” XDR Pro is just $600

whos with me ?
I'm guessing you have the 2018 IPP? Because Apple is offering me $500 trade in on my 2020 11" 128GB alone. I can then sell my magic keyboard separately making the new 12.9" around $500 out of pocket (before buying the new magic keyboard).
