I JUST Ordered a MacBook Pro 17' - Question...

Having any of the MBP documented issues so far? Massive overheating, mooing, etc? Possible to snap any pix for us? I realllllly wanna see what that 17" glossy screen looks like.

No problems!
It gets hot when it's charging. Once it hits 100% it cools down. The screen is lit evenly. It's extremely quiet. The lid closes tight and lays flat. The keys are all straight (though the action of the "e" key is a tad different than the others). It's damn near perfect! And the MBP 15" that I traded in was perfect too (only had it 4 days when the 17" was announced and apple took it back no problems, no restocking fees).

I ordered the 17" on May 11th then changed to a glossy screen which pushed the delivery date back 2-3 days. It arrived on the 24th.

Just an update on my order... The FedEx plane holding my sexyness just landed in Anchorage at 1:19pm PST w0000t. It's so close I can taste it, and feel the sexy curves.

I had read something that gave me a bit of hope... Someone ordered one and it took only four days... Since I did the 2-3 day option, I hope the 5-7 estimate is actually a worst-case scenario..

I hope you get yours faster than it took to get mine... I had to wait 7 bloody days just for mine to ship, lol. 8 if you count Memorial day even though it's not technically a business day.

When mine finally shipped it on May 16th, it was estimated by apple to be delivered by May 22. When I checked the fedex tracking, they estimated arrival for the 19th. To my surprised, they delivered it on the 18th. Ok so China -> Virginia in 2 days. Wow, I didn't even pay extra for shipping.

Ok so I just HAVE to post... I checked my tracking and by god it made it all the way to my local hub yesterday! I called my fedex driver about 10 mins ago and shes got it on her truck.... WOOOOOT!

She said she would be here by 9 to drop it off. Tons of pix tonight when I get home

I ordered mine on the 18th of June and Estimated Shipped By was the 30th. It shipped on the 30th, they juiced it to the very end. I would imagine because I made some modification to mine and that they didn't have any "spares" sitting around to ship with the exact specs I had ordered. With that said it should arrive this friday. I ordered the 2-3 shipping as well.
