Photos of a 17" MBP - glossy that is.
Sorry.

OH! I got you mixed up with someone else...
Your glossy's are GREAT, btollenaar! :)
Have a great day. Please think of me on this sad day without my MacBook Pro... And hope for the best that I get it before the 8th! :)

LOL! A future order delivered in the past... :)
I wish the same thing! :)

Hmm...however, I think this would create a paradox. If you then had the Macbook Pro in the past...as the future order date arrived you wouldn't need to order since you already have it! But, if you didn't place your order your Macbook would disappear. The solution to this is obvious. I would need to create a temporal bubble around me and my Macbook pro to shield us from the changes in the time line. This could create a tare in the space time continuum that could only be resealed using a static warp shell. :D

My first post from the new MBP sitting in a Panera bread leaching their free WiFi.

I must say, this is by far the best laptop money can buy. No questions asked. It's simply amazing. Mine is running absolutey flawlessly so far, what I would expect from an Apple product.

There's no mooing, no overheating, absolutely perfect. I would encourage anyone looking in to one of these badboys to drop the cash and just do it. The glossy screen, omg the glossy screen... it's also amazing. The color depth is perfect and I don't notice a single bit of glare in a very well lit public establishment. Hoorah to apple for making one fine piece of kit!

Frag out!

Hmmm I love Panera, but right now, I'm not liking you too much ;)
Kidding... I'm REALLY glad it's working well for you... I can't wait for mine..

Thanks mate, totally loving it x 100000. I'm very happy that it hasnt exhibited any of the problems that some people have been having. This is giving me a lot of confidence. I actually just ordered the AppleCare extended warranty off of eBay this morning to make sure that mah baby gets well taken care of in case something happens to it.

Cheers mates! I'll be posting up some good high res pix of the unit tonight once I get in.

ordered May 30 with estimated ship date of June 8th. Called and complained, got $125 discount ontop of Edu pricing, plus free 2-3 day shipping, but no change in ship date. Then sent e-mail last night and low and behold, my 17" MBP ships out this morning... :D ... only problem is apple tells me delivery of June 6th :( but no word from FedEX yet. If i remember correctly, I didn't have to sign for my 12" PB or my Mac Mini, but I've always had to sign for software titles. Did anyone else have to sign for their MBP, if so i'll have to have the old lady stay home from work to accept it... (and if she opens it, Mr. Rogers will not be happy, it WON'T be a beautiful day in the neighborhood)

Wtf?

This is irritating the hell out of me.

I ordered a 17" MBP (1 GB ram, 7200 rpm HD, matte screen) on the 16th of May. Estimated shipping has been delayed twice, first to 5/31, now to 6/12!!!!

What gives?

Mind you I'm only paying $2360 vs the $2799 sticker price (institutional discount).

Ok, so... Do they charge your credit card ONLY when it's processed and ready to ship? It seems that my card has been charged...

Mine was a little bit different in the charge department. They initially charged my card at time of order to verify that I actually had the funding to purchase the lappy. Then they refunded it the next day. Apple didnt recharge my card until after I had actually received the laptop, about 4 hours after delivery to be exact.

All worked out perfect in the longrun though. This laptop is just pure sex... That's about the best way to describe it. Viva la Apple!

I ended up CANCELLING my online order (it wasn't moving)... Since I leave on the 8th, I called my local Apple and they have them in stock. So I will be in Raleigh tomorrow to pick up my MBP :)

Awesome dude, that's the way to do it!!! Get it instantly :p I was going to do that with mine too, because my Apple store has a gripload of em, but the glossy screen is a BTO only lappy so I decided to hang in there and wait for it.

Can't wait to see some pix of yours and get your opinion on the best laptop in the freaking world!!!

OH MY! I just picked mine up and it screams! I LOVE IT! A bit warm, but nothing out of the ordinary; seems to be distributing heat as it should! Still setting things up... Update soon!
