My 17" MacBook Pro, which i ordered May 30th, arrived today June 5th. It wasn't even supposed to ship until the 8th. I absolutely love it, the resolution, the built in iSight. and it's not even running that hot, of course, i'm not pushing it to the max either. CoreDuoTemp is telling me 65C, which isn't bad at all, i've been running it an hour and 20 minutes, and its been flawless. Fixing to restart, currnetly in Mac Nirvana.

You don't consider 65 celsius hot? Touch the bar above the function keys and also the upper underside of the laptop.... is it still 'cool'?

Congrats!
(BTW, I have a friend that lives down there in Monroe...)

Anyhoo... All weekend here and no problems... When I push it, it will get pretty warm, but that's to be expected with the aluminum enclosure... Such a fast machine; the fastest I've ever seen; I love everything about it! :)

Ironic; I just installed Windows (after a few problems with an external drive... I learned to unplug it after it verifies my original disk)... I have never seen such a fast-running Windows... it kicks my P4 2.8 in the rear...
Yay! No problems now migrating fully to a Mac... I feel comfortable now that I have a touch of Windows for my files..

Cheers! Report back! :)

When I run disk installs and processor-heavy programs, it does get hot, but nothing surprising to me; seems justified since it is an aluminum enclosure. I would feel better KNOWING it gets hot and doing its job.. Just from past experiences..
