As an update to a thread I statted several days ago...
After 10 years of iPhone ownership, I sold my iPhone 7 Plus and went to the Note 8. After a week of use, I can confidently conclude that for me, the Note 8 is an amazing phone that absolutely blows the iPhone out of the water in functionlaity and customization. I even traded my Series 2 watch in for a Gear 3 and find it to be a much watch better much for my purposes. Apple seems to be mostly about curves and design aesthetics. The rigidity of iOS is counter-productive.
Maybe the Note 8 is the first truly amazing phone form Samsung, I don’t know. But I have definitely found an absolute winner in the Note 8 and have no regrets leaving the iPhone behind. At work, few people were happy with Apple’s September iPhone event. They knew me as a major Apple fan and thought I would be the last to leave Apple. There may very well be more than average defectors this upgrade cycle. Our family has three more iPhones to converts, which we will do in October.
