I would have thought the store would have offered you a replacement under your Apple care plus ?

You weren't duped by the Apple marketing machine. You simply decided to try going the Android route. If you were truly duped by marketing, you wouldn't have felt a need to look elsewhere.
No need to kick Apple with such drivel, when you are the one that made the decision to not use Android.

I was ready to pay the 100 to replace my device but my store kept saying they disregard when people say their phone is hot because phones get hot. They mostly refused to acknowledge the idea of me getting a replacement and always shooed me away for 9 months. I probably should have caused a scene but I do blame myself for just letting them have their way with me
He obviously meant, he realized what he's been missing out on. It's not that serious.
The fact is, in this test SAF proves the iPhone 8 camera is junk. DXO needs to have their eyes checked.
The iPhone 8 Plus' camera looks to be nearly identical to last year's. The same overly hepatitis yellow skin tone, slow autofocus, oversaturated cloud color, muted mono stereo, etc. LIVEFRMNYC mentioned this review.
Proof is in the video. If you can't see that, then someone needs to help you.
I use both too. Both aren't perfect... some things I like one over the other, but I enjoy them equally. When I read arguments from both sides, I agree and disagree from both perspectives... so basically, I can feel good and bad at the same time in this forum... LOL.
the iPhone 8 looked better in many of the scenes. More natural. But that is totally besides the point of dxo results. I don’t put much stock in them regardless but it’s funny to see some of the commentary.
DXO didn't test the phones which actually competed with the iPhone 8 namely the Galaxy S8,S8 Plus,Note 8 and the upcoming Pixel XL 2 so their scores are accurate. I very much doubt the iPhone 8 has a superior camera to the Note 8 based on samples I have seen. Once DX0 testst them the scores will be normalised

As said above DXO didn't test the Note 8 or S8. Apart from 2 phones, the rest of the phones on that list are from 2016. The iPhone 8 will get a run for its money once they are tested
Was the S7 in their list because the S8 camera is essentially the same as the S7.
You said their support system was miles better than Samsung's, apple care doesn't count as its a separate service that doesn't come with each iPhone purchase.
Well since the note 8 uses the same camera in the S8 for the main lenses I would assume the 8 plus will trump the note 8 as well.
I played with the iPhone 8 Plus. It's a trash phone upgrade tbh considering the processor is barely faster, I don't need wireless charging, the software isn't different than what the 7+ offers, and quick charging is non-existent on it unless you pay up for the peripherals. The camera is overstated and don't care for a true tone display. Good thing I didn't pre-order one.
Most of these phones are incremental upgrades year over year. Note 8 isn't very different from the Note 7, in example.
At least Samsung changed their design twice since 2014.
I thought the S8 hadn't been tested yet. Also I haven't looked at the data yet but someone posted that the 8 plus won because DXO mark have changed their scoring system and now give a score for the dual lens camera. But apparently without this score added the overall score was less than the pixel. Which would indicate that the main shooter is not as good as the pixel 's.
Not worth it to be either. Camera they seem to be saying how much better it is but dunno...
Wow, I went to Best Buy and Apple Store yesterday. I compared the Note 8 to the iPhone 8 Plus at BB. I was really impressed by the look and feel and handling of the iPhone 8 Plus. I think it's hardly a trash upgrade. It's going to be worth it for some people and too incremental to bother with for others especially those not interested in wireless charging.
The Note 8 crashed a lot but they do hobble it with that demo software they Samsung puts on it. They compared favorably but I just don't want to do Edge displays anymore. I saw photos curving over the edge and it's just not for me. I was surprised that the size difference between the Note 8+ and S8+ is barely noticeable. It at least had a nice even toned display that wasn't haunted by the wretched pink stain that still plagues my S8+ without the software fix in adaptive mode.
Come back again in a couple years time and see how it's holding up. My S7 is the slowest, laggiest phone. It runs so much worse than the iPhone 6! While it was great to begin with, they don't tend to hold up well over time. Maybe the Note series is different though.
My husband's S8+ has been lagging terribly. He keeps fixing it but then it bogs down again. He has a lot of apps on it he will need to sift through again and find any trouble makers. He just hasn't felt like bothering lately and has gone back to using his iPhone as his daily driver until things settle down at work and he can take the time to fiddle with his phone again.
My S8+ lagged for a bit but I've traced it to Pokémon Go. Pokémon Go was messing up on my iPhone, too. It caused it to run scary hot. I use the app very sparingly on my iPhone now and never at all on my S8+ after watching it tangle my camera app up. My S8+ is back to running smoothly again. The thing with Samsungs is you have to watch what apps you download then keep an eye on what they're doing once they are in. They seem to tangle with Samsungs proprietary software more than they do with pure Android.
