Just sent a bunch, no issues here in the UK.

I'm in London is it's completely dead on me for the past hour. On my Mac, iPhone and also the webmail service.

EDIT: OS Mail returns a "Service temporarily unavailable" message.
EDIT 2: Apple has now recognized a service failure affecting 0.17% of users on their website.

iCloud mail

Dublin, Ireland. No iCloud for several hours (4-5hrs) now.

I've called them twice. Service still down and they don't know what it is. I'm starting to panic that I'll lose professional emails sent in the meantime. :/

Down for me too, has been for most of the day. I'm based near Brighton, UK. Very annoying. No access on iOS, webmail or mail.app.

Dead in Canada too

Am in Newmarket ON, no connection from Apple Mail, loading via Web client fails as well. Am getting incoming email sporadically but no ability to see on web or manage mailboxes

It's a bit annoying to be honest but hey ho...can't work 100% of the time.

I thought the point behind cloud systems was much reduced downtime...if at all?

Down here in Scotland too since about 12 this afternoon. (possibly earlier. 12 is when I checked today)

Down since 9AM from Long Island, NY. Really Apple, 4 hours of downtime and all I see is a cryptic note on your support page?

Wow, this is so much better and more reliable than Gmail

Mail/iCloud down

10:27 PDT - Mail is down for me, other services fine. My husband's is fine, so the outage is not across the board.

It went down at 08:27 GMT, in London this morning... This has been more than a workday in duration and the cryptic status message doesn't make it better!

I cynical person would wonder about tomorrow's announcements and if this is related?

Help line is totally clueless. "We don't know. Check the status page."
Right, anyone know where can I e-mail an official complain?

I mean, 9h unable to access my professional email is not what I expect from Apple standards.

iCloud express lane use gives me this:

Error 503--Service Unavailable

From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:

10.5.4 503 Service Unavailable

The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. The implication is that this is a temporary condition which will be alleviated after some delay. If known, the length of the delay may be indicated in a Retry-After header. If no Retry-After is given, the client SHOULD handle the response as it would for a 500 response.

Note: The existence of the 503 status code does not imply that a server must use it when becoming overloaded. Some servers may wish to simply refuse the connection.
