I think we can write this off as a lost cause. Apple doesn't seem to have any interest in fixing the issue. I contacted them again since it's been two weeks since last update. They said they have no updates. So whatever promises they made doesn't count for much. timely resolution has a different meaning to them LOL

They said to wait while they investigate but doesn't feel like anyone really "investigating"

Nowdays priority is emoji and widgets.

overnight everything seems to be fine. Updates taken on my Macbook are synced to iPhone and iPad. But: as soon as I use Safari on my iPhone and go to another website, iCloud tabs are crashing and on my Macbook no iCloud tabs were shown again

Just submitted a fourth feedback complaint about this. It's really getting on my breasts. Only now do I realise how integral a feature it was to my web browsing habits inside the Apple ecosystem. I don't think they're ever going to fix it.

Clearly Apples arrogance has taken over here with a complete lack of acceptance of this issue on any public forum. I would suggest for those are affected that you email Tim Cook directly and one of his executive team will pick it up. It’s the only way I get resolutions to long standing issues with my stuff.

Once a year or so, I get lured in by the cool Safari-only features like tab syncing and switch back to using it. Then I realize that those awesome Safari-only features don't work for long and I go back to another browser.

Not being able to watch 4K videos is bad enough, now tab sync is broken.

Not working for me across two macs and 1 iphone.

This was a feature I really relied on, so now I've just switched over to Firefox on all three platforms because at least this feature seems to almost always work there.

Yeah, we are 23 pages in on this thread. It's pretty broken.

wondering if anybody also has problems syncing voice memos with iphone to Mac. i searched around and didn't see many reports if at all about it. but i'm thinking the problem might be related.

Absolutely not connected IMO. I would suggest you create your own thread about that.

I did exactly that two weeks ago. Nothing happened. Now Apple is going to call me again on Monday and repeat the procedure. I am not convinced that will help, either.

Ridiculous. They could do this on their own workstations.... anyone who uses safari can see this is an icloud issue.

I'd be curious if there are a lot of people where iCloud tabs are working perfectly fine - thus they're not on this thread. Or, is it literally everyone that has the issue? I'm checking with some friends but most of them use Chrome/Firefox.

I think there are probably a lot of users that are affected, but don't know. My mum for example, she has the same behaviour on her phone, iPad and laptop. But it was only after I noticed it, she didn't.

Even though I’m the OP, I rarely use iCloud tabs. As such, I don’t know how long it was broken for before I noticed it.

I just got done speaking to tier II support. They say that there are a lot of users reporting this issue, so my case has been submitted to the engineering team for review. I would suggest that others do the same so that this can be resolved quickly.
I will report back as I know more.

Here it is almost a month later. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. They only thing I can count on is that at some point it will stop working again.

15 min ago it was working on my 12 pro max, now it is broken again. Ipad and mac mini m1 also do not show the icloud tabs.
Had this issue since i got my new 12 pro max.
