iPhone 14 Pro If Apple made a pro model phone in a mini size..

If Apple made a pro model phone in a mini size, I'd totally buy it. I don't need a large phone, that's why I get all the features I want in a regular size of the 14 pro. If they made the 14 pro and all it's features in a mini size, it would be even better because of the convenience of the small size. Battery life would be sacrificed I bet, but you'd have all the bells and whistles.

Same. I would 1000% get a an iPhone 14 miniPro with a 120Hz screen and these great cameras. Small battery wouldn’t be a huge issue for me. But sadly, too few people actually buy a Mini. It seems only a small but very vocal group of people ask for it… so i don’t expect a flagship phone in a mini format for years to come.

battery life on the mini has already been suspect (I've had the 12 and 13 mini). add promotion, 3 cameras, AOD...all these other power-hungry features in the PRO models...and you'd barely get half a day per charge.

The only way it could really work would be if they made the rear flush with the cameras, maybe even increased it further and put in a bigger battery. As has been mentioned, with all the features you get on the pro models in comparison it’d chew through batter like anything…

But the vast majority would not, so they don't make it. Battery tech would need a couple decades of improvements for this to even be feasible. You small phone people are so vocal, but the demand is just not representative of reality.

I got the iPhone 14 Pro but I really miss the mini, it was the perfect size, it was just the battery that sucked. I would def get on board with the iPhone 14 Pro mini

I switched from the 12 Mini to the 14 Pro and after not even a week of using the 14 Pro I actually consider sending it back and keep on using my 12 Mini for another year before I "upgrade" to a 13 Mini hoping it will last many years.

I'd also love to see an iPhone Pro Mini and would be completely ok with it being thicker for the sake of battery life and getting rid of that camera bump. I wouldn't even mind if they charged more for it than the regular "Pro" and/or dumped the ultra wide camera (the telephoto one is the thing I miss since switching from the XS to the 12 Mini).
One thing which I would not want on that from the Pro lineup is the stainless steel frame. I very much prefer the aluminum version (which would fit much better with the matte glass back in terms of haptics).

To bad this will probably never happen.

I actually expect we'll see a foldable iPhone before then -- which would solve at least the pocketability issue (though not the ergonomic issue of having a phone where you can't access much of the screen one-handed).

I would take an iPhone mini Pro that is a bit thicker, a tiny bit larger than the 13 mini, with the promotion screen, 3 cameras, etc. Actually, just give me the regular and the telephoto - no need for the ultra wide.

Going thicker and slightly larger would allow for a larger battery. Wouldn't be as good as the regular Pro, but might be good enough.

I just upgraded from the 7 to the 13 mini, and I really like the 13 mini. I can kind of understand how people who do most of their computing on phones want bigger screens. I've never been that person--I do almost everything from a laptop.

What I don't understand is why Apple wouldn't want that market of the small phone user. I think I heard it was only 3% of iPhone sales. But the mini started at $699 which is, for a lot of other manufacturers, the high end. And 3% of iPhone sales is still a lot. I'm not sure why they wouldn't want that. There are probably a lot of not well known Android brands that would love to have that marketshare. And it's not as if Apple doesn't make other lower volume products (although most are probably pretty high volume). But as an example, I can't imagine that they sell that many AirPods Max. I can't imagine they sell that many Apple TVs, either.

I’m not talking about the display, I’m talking about ProRaw, ProRes, larger camera sensors, LiDAR, more internal components that make the pro devices “pro”. There’s simply not the room inside a mini, and the features I mentioned would consume more battery and thus it would need a larger battery.

Personally a mini a couple of mil thicker to house a larger battery (and flush cameras!) would be the perfect phone for me.

I do wonder what they have in store for it. Clearly they’ve decided to no longer have it track the flagship iPhones but I could see them updating it every few years as a separate line like they do with the iPad mini.

I for one, like the mini. I had a iPhone X and the battery swelled forcing the display out of the frame and they let me upgrade to the 12 mini for $79 and loved it. When i heard the 14 would not offer a mini, I upgraded to thr 13 mini for fear they would be discontinued. I‘ll keep this one for as long as possible.

Apart from aod (which is likely to be implemented in iPhone 15 I bet) , every other feature seems to actually save battery
The iPhone 13 Pro has a better battery life thanks to pro motion
3 cameras doesn’t matter much and doesn’t drain much more power afaik (idk too much about iPhones isp tho)
