Sure, because he knows that for some reason. Simply go back to his track record and how many he's backtracking and repeating things back-n-forth just so something hits and then claimed he's accurate.

And this doesn't negate the point of people claiming they want a small iPhone and pretending they are willing to pay for it are simply talk. Fact remains the mini line is no more.
I think the people asking for a small flagship phone are a very noisy minority. I was asking for such a phone and ended up getting the 12 Mini two months after release. I think the SE somewhat cannibalised the Mini so it would make sense if Apple merged the two into a single product such as reasonably priced mid-ranged Mini with an LCD panel to cut costs.

im still waiting for the iPhone 4SPro. In my opinion, the 4 factor was the most beautiful form factor in the history of phones in general
There’s a better chance of you releasing the 4S Pro on GoFundMe than Apple, lol. Even the much loved SE’16 has no chance of getting resurrected.

I‘d prefer an „iPhone Air“. Basically iPhone SE 3rd gen in the body of the 1st gen SE. Mini size but up to date internals and a price of 349€-379€ with 64GB base memory.
That would be my perfect phone. Shame it’s never going to happen.

I think they should rescue the 5.7” - 5.8” display size, either for the regular iPhone or the Pro models. Just like the XS or 11 Pro.

The mini size is good and comfortable, I’ve used it and I liked it, however, I think many of the disadvantages (low battery life, low appeal to the general public) could be overcome by making it a bit larger.

If the rumors about the next SE are true and we get a 5.7” device, I think it’s going to be a big hit in sales. However, I’d miss the island.

The 6-style chassis is the largest I've ever had either: 2G, 3GS, 4S, 5c, SE 2016, SE 2020 and 13 mini. Largest by far! I worried I wouldn't get used to it but of course I did.
I couldn’t get used to the 6. I switched to the SE when it came out 1.5 years later. The mini is still borderline too big.

tbh id take the current mini with at least a 3200 mAh bat

(would probably have to be a bit thicker tbh !)
I’ve actually been impressed by the 13 mini battery. Way better life than the 2020 se and iPhone 7 I had before it.

And MagSafe if I feel the need to carry a battery back if I’m concerned.

I bought a battery back due to concerns over battery life after the SE experience but haven’t needed it yet.

They currently have the technology to build a pro mini with good battery life. They currently have the technology to make all these phones with good battery life and other more advanced technologies. But they won’t release it because their sales would drastically drop the following year. So they just toss out little tidbits at a time each year. Greedy

You'd take the shape of 1st Gen SE over 4/4s-Full Screen? Also remember 4/4s was stainless steel as well. So beautiful

Smaller size pro iPhone? Sign me up immediately.

Love the camera advancements phones have made in recent years, but i really miss the small size factor from the days, when you could confidently hold phone firmly in one hand while using it (and slip it back into the pocket easily). I don't need a large screen phone for reading or browsing media, I have Mac & iPad for that.

This, the only reason I'm considering the pro because I don't want to miss out the camera advancements.

But the vast majority would not, so they don't make it. Battery tech would need a couple decades of improvements for this to even be feasible. You small phone people are so vocal, but the demand is just not representative of reality.
I might at try it if it existed, especially if the price difference was enough

The only way it could really work would be if they made the rear flush with the cameras, maybe even increased it further and put in a bigger battery. As has been mentioned, with all the features you get on the pro models in comparison it’d chew through batter like anything…
No one would buy that though -- a super-thick phone with a tiny screen would be unlikely to meet anyone's needs.

I thought you were talking about a 4 with a more powerful chip still with a home button. Yes, I would prefer a 4 with a modern full edge-to-edge screen. It would be an amazing small device.

What pro features do you want in a mini? Frosted glass back? top camera? stainless steel? notches display? Better processor?

I'd be interested, but it would need to keep aluminum.

If they solved battery life in the mini, I would trade for it right now, and pay $200 more for it.

Id have to charge the mini at least once during the day every day with use, and often charge it in the evening during heavy couch use, while still charging overnight. It had great standby batter, but if you were using it you could literally watch the batter % go down in real time.

I’m curious if they could make an innovative Mini iPhone and market it like the next iPhone X. This would have to be a new type of product where Apple tells consumers what they want and need for it to succeed.

The issues with the Mini iPhone IMO were a) battery life and b) no incentive for Apple to convince consumers to purchase an iPhone that’s $100 less than the standard size, and $300 less than the Pro lineup.

Apple needs the motivation to market a Mini iPhone, which may be where a Pro price tag comes into play.

Otherwise, it was an incredible device and form factor. I’m fairly certain we won’t see it again until there’s a foldable design since consumers think they want larger displays.

I really like the stainless steel edges of the Pros. Notchless would be nice too. I'd really love a Pro mini that was thick enough to house a Pro-size battery.

If you’re using the Mini heavily on the couch in the evening I suggest you use a cheap iPad instead.
