Other If so many of yall put your iPhone in a case, why does iPhone color choice matter? Sometimes I wish Apple gave us no choice at all.

Ugh, this year, I find it a little harder deciding on the iPhone and case color choices. They’re all so beautiful. But then I ask myself, why do I even bother? It’s gonna be inside the case anyway. But I still can’t stop obsessing over it.

Who else just plans to buy whichever color iPhone is left in stock and then just deciding on the case color?

I use Apple's clear case on my purple iPhone 11. This is my first non-black/gray iPhone because purple is my favorite color.

Why have Apple made design and material choices that made their phones so fragile, thus making using an iPhone without a case the very definition of ‘living dangerously’!

From 2017, we’ve had phones with a glass sandwich design with the front glass raised up over its aluminium or steel housing (ie making it more vulnerable).

At last we are returning to designs where the glass is recessed again.

Kudos to Apple and Corning for what seems like a breakthrough in glass tech with the ceramic shield.

Maybe in a few years time, using a case on the iPhone will only be for the paranoid. Let’s hope.

I use a clear case so I can see my phone ... and I don't have the stupidity of not using a case. Best of both worlds.

Clear case full edge covered without any bottom cut out. Love the mag safe symbol on Apple clear case but bottom cut-off is a bit turn off.

Unless you get a clear case. Other than that if you get a non-clear case then color of the device shouldn't matter.

I wish that Apple made the iPhone tough enough to not need a case at all or made them easily and cheaply repairable! Imagine if you could swap the screen out yourself for £20, wouldn't worry about scratches then.

But seriously, welcome to Costco. They’ve made a whole business out of making choices for you in what you’re going to buy if you want “socks” or “peanut butter”.
