Same. Always have. I do not get the desire to cover up such a beautiful phone. But that's just me.

Same with me. I think as we’ve gotten more color choices over the years more people are using clear cases.

The problem with clear cases, for me, is they always seem to discolor and turn into dirty light brown cases. And, they also show a lot of smudges. The apple clear case I bought last year - the pricey one - it’s hands down the best clear case I’ve ever seen. No discoloring. But, it still shows a lot of smudges on the back.

i bought one on Amazon that was „anti yellow and anti smudges“. Worked really well for the last two years 👍🏼

I am very firmly on the phone-is-a-tool and not a baby camp and never use cases. I’ve never had a broken screen. So I for one appreciate the phone color options. I just with they would drop the camera bump!

I went with the Torras crystal clear case for my 12. My second choice was the Totalee but seems the edges aren't as flat like the phone is?

COLOR matters, because many of us have it naked or in a clear case.

I think the different colors are great, but not for me personally. Both because I always use a case, and because ultimately I think I would get tired of the novel colors fairly quickly. I always stick to the apple equivalent of black ("space grey" or whatever its called going forward) with a black apple silicon or leather case. I've never attempted to go case-less, but not because I think the thin layer of silicon or leather actually provides any major protection. I like the case because I find the phone itself too slippery (although I'm curious to try the squared edges again), and I HATE the fact the phone can't sit flat on its back because of the camera bump. I tend to use my phone on my desk a lot and the wobbling would drive me nuts.

I ordered a case for the 12 Pro Max in clear from Totallee. It’ll be here tomorrow. They said they aren’t supposed to yellow. We’ll see. A little pricey, but worth it to me.

Ugh, this year, I find it a little harder deciding on the iPhone and case color choices. They’re all so beautiful. But then I ask myself, why do I even bother? It’s gonna be inside the case anyway. But I still can’t stop obsessing over it.

Who else just plans to buy whichever color iPhone is left in stock and then just deciding on the case color?

I like look at my phone when I take off the case from time to time.

I really wish I could do a naked iPhone, but I am way too clumsy for that to be a thing. So clear case all the way for me! I usually use a Speck clear case, but wasn't super happy with it on my iPhone XS. Since I just pre-ordered the Pacific Blue 12 Pro, I'm looking into clear cases for it. Any brand recommendations that are good and don't cost a million bucks?
