Burn in can be an issue if you keep your tablet with very bright pictures at very high brightness for prolonged period of time.... and even then it's a long term issue, not a short term one...Yeah i would too wait for OLED if it would be perfect.
It isn't. A) Burn in is still problem with OLED and B) Yellow tint in iPhone 11 Pro and 12 Pro models. (Had to swap my 11 pro max couple of times to get "acceptable" levels of yellow tint.
I've been assuming that M1 is A14X.the more I think about it, the more I feel the M1 may actually end up in the iPad Pro as a major "blow people's socks off" event.
Completely disagree... Even >90% leakers got it wrong this time. If Apple changes plans there is nothing leakers can do...
If the leaker is not at least 90% plus accurate, I will never, ever listen to them, specially John Prosser....Ever
They didn't get it wrong, Apple changed plans. Prosser is going to explain in FPT later today.

Agree, but 90% plus is far better than 78% or 85%Completely disagree... Even >90% leakers got it wrong this time. If Apple changes plans there is nothing leakers can do...
An eyebrowless Jon Prosser...As for the second question, Prosser will explain it later on FPT
these percentages don't matter much, since it also depends since when you are a leaker, how much you have leaked and so on... Prosser declared in an interview that he checks his info with at least 3 difference sources...But I prefer someone that takes some risk on his reputation and does some good leaks and gets things wrong rather than someone who hardly ever leaks anything important.... A wrong leak is not misinformation, at least if it comes from someone who has given some big info in advance. If you want to be 100% right, never leak anything... And percentages may vary over time... I guess some >90% leakers are going down after this change in plans... One could even argue that Apple itself is spreading misinformation internally on purpose in an attempt to discredit leakers that damage its marketing plans...Agree, but 90% plus is far better than 78% or 85%
The latter is a long way away.Agree. Mini and micro LED are the best future display types, IMO. Durable, no burn in, and the contrast.
If it was only Jon Prosser reporting on it this time around, I would've definitely agreed with you. The only problem is that practically every other reputable leaker repeated the same information. Even Kang with a track record close to 100% got it wrong. As a result, it's hard to put the blame specifically on Jon Prosser. Unlike the physical events that Apple used to have, the virtual events can very easily be rescheduled. Apple likely screwed over the leakers after seeing the leaks.

But even those leakers got it wrong. The most reputable leaker got it wrong.Agree, but 90% plus is far better than 78% or 85%
You should stop believing all the other leakers then...Let’s be honest Prosser has got soooo much wrong lately it’s hard to even believe anything he says at this point.
Im still running with press release next week

Again everyone seems to be pilling on Prosser when a bunch of different leakers also got it wrong. So either they all have the exact same source that got it wrong and it was never happening, or Apple pushed the event either due to mini LED shortages or the global chip shortage. But considering Samsung is publicly considering canceling the next gen Note over the chip shortage, I’m inclined to believe this was a last minute push so Apple can get production up.
It was the exact same last year, kept going on about an event then it just ended up being an invite lol... wouldn’t surprise me if that’s the case here with an event on 30th ?I don't like Prosser and find him useless most of the times.
I remember last year with the iMac situation. He kept changing it so much the it became a joke. He eventually got it right on the day but thats irrelevant. He got it wrong so many times before that that his "predictions" are pure garbage.
Are we going to have press release next tuesday with preorders friday and shipping first week in April? Maybe. If not then a week or two later as Apple can't go that much closer to WWDC.
Its coming, its just a matter of short wait : )
exactly, but people like conspiracy theories, why think that Apple just changed their plans (now that they don't even need to have people present at their events) when you can think that all leakers agreed to troll the world about an event than was never plannedAgain everyone seems to be pilling on Prosser when a bunch of different leakers also got it wrong. I was thinking about that myself today. One could even argue that Apple itself is spreading misinformation internally on purpose in an attempt to discredit leakers that damage its marketing plans...
Why is it a long way away? You can buy them now, albeit they’re expensive. OLED was expensive at first, too. 88” and 99” inch models coming soon. The latter is a long way away.
There's a new TV tech on the horizon, and it promises incredible picture quality and even more incredible sizes. You can even buy one right now, if you've got deep pockets. It's called MicroLED and it combines the best features of the current TV technologies into something new... and huge. Using millions of tiny individually addressable LEDs, MicroLED promises to rival the picture quality of OLED, the current champion, but with better brightness and lower chance of burn-in.
Samsung has shown MicroLED prototypes at CES for the last few years, ranging in size between 75 and 292 inches. At the virtual CES 2021 the company showed off a $156,000 110-inch model that could display four 55-inch HD images at the same time. Later this year it'll release two additional models: 88 and 99 inches. Sony has its own version of MicroLED, called Crystal LED, that's currently only for the commercial market, but allows for massive wall-sized screens.
Micro LED isn't in any consumer-oriented products yet. They're far from becoming mainstream yet (in a similar vein to 8K).Why is it a long way away? You can buy them now, albeit they’re expensive. OLED was expensive at first, too. 88” and 99” inch models coming soon.
Wall-size, million-dollar MicroLED TVs point to the future of television
Samsung and LG will sell you the gigantic screen of your dreams today, if you have enough money.www.cnet.com

Consumer-oriented, not millionaire-oriented.Here's when you can buy Samsung's massive Micro LED TV
With a new 76-inch size confirmed toowww.techradar.com
“Samsung's Micro LED TV is coming in 2021, and we finally have a firm idea of when its various sizes are going to be on sale.
The new Micro LED television will be launching in its largest 110-inch and 99-inch sizes "globally beginning at the end of March", with an 88-inch size coming in late 2021.”
What are you even quoting from, and why is Sony the company being discussed and not Samsung which is what I showed was bringoing microLED TVs to market in consumer sizes in 2021?Consumer-oriented, not millionaire-oriented.
