There was never a March event planned, it was in April, but they fed the leakers with false news...
Apple is a lot of things but they're not stupid. I have always felt that Apple deliberately 'leaks' information to certain media outlets. Now, by making some leakers look bad, it actually also makes people want to know which leaks are actually real, so it's a win-win for Apple and how they focus everyone's attention on their upcoming products.

Didn't Jon Prosser and Mark Gurman dispute that?

That one Jon Prosser source must have a high rank...
Gurman disputed 16th March. A lot of these credible leakers said March 23rd. Prosser has said tho that he got it wrong and he should of listened to one of his sources who said April, however he didn’t because his other sources said March.

He disputed March 16th, not the entirety of March. It was pretty clear that he was hinting at a March event like everybody else.
Yep he deleted the tweet for a reason lol people seem to be giving gurman a pass here. He didn’t know about no march event until after there was no invite.

Wtf, it was always rumored to be mini-led, not micro?
I have followed this for 2 years for now and not a single rumour (for credible source) said that it was micro-led, wayyy too early and too expensive. And you are dreaming if you actually believed ipad was having micro-led this early.

Arguably, for device this small (Compared to 75" tv), is it really THAT noticeable when used mini- vs. micro-led. If it has thousands upon thousands of led's inside 12.9" screen, you will see some glow if you really look for it, but in normal use i argue that's the differences are minimal.

For example if you take a cursor on black background and swipe it across the screen, some glow is always present in current screens that have low number of dimming-zones. In Mini- and Microled this glow is reduced a lot. (OLED doesn't have this for obvious reasons, ghosting tho is a different subject)

Nobody is saying it’s micro except the case makers who are so gung-ho they are making errors, in order to drum-up pre-orders. Bless them.
