I would probably switch over to Verizon for these reasons:
1. They have better data speeds in my area.
2. More people in my area use Verizon (i.e. more Mobile to Mobile usage)
3. They seem to be more on task for the future (i.e. LTE, whereas ATT won't even have 7.2mbps HSDPA completely rolled out until halfway through 2011, whereas Verizon will already have quite a few LTE markets up and running)
4. ATT is showing wayy too much hostility lately towards net neutrality. I don't like a carrier that feels they have the right to block certain services because they don't want everyone and their iPhones to trash their fragile network
5. ATT has a severe lack of responsibility. They brought the iPhone exclusivity contract upon themselves.... they begged for it. They then showed us that they weren't ready for the burden of being the lone iPhone carrier. They dropped the ball with MMS, Tethering, and their network in regards to preparing it for the data intensive applications such as SlingPlayer, etc, etc, etc.
Thankfully, I am a light network user. I like the simplicity and robustness of the iPhone. That makes up for ATT's fall through. I wish I could use my iPhone to it's full potential, but ATT let me down on that note.
