after runnign the jailbreak by ipod said it had only 300MB of strage, im restoring it now, but what went wrong?

MY IPOD ID NOW STUCK AT 300MB and it wont restore what do i do?
If you really want to restore follow these steps:
Hold the sleep and home button on your ipod until the apple logo appears.
When that happens let go of your sleep button but continue to hold the home button.
Now, itunes should recognize the force restore, and you will now download the new firmware, and itunes will restore your ipod.

Help!!

I just got as far as the reboot, but my itouch is not powering back up it has crashed on the apple...i've tried it a few times and holding down the home button to force a restore, but nothing. itunes is not recognizing it either! ahh, please help i'm freaked!!

How?? how did it work?!! mine is still crashed at the apple, i'm get a bit worried!

Just do it a few times XD
its funny, i was just as freaked out as you are a few minutes ago, but just keep doing it, and hold the home buton untill the apple logo goes away, i think thats what made the difference in mine, but im just 14, so idk about technichal stuff like that. . . . .

Eager to get iJailBreak going, but as soon as I start it up I get an error message:

AppleScript Error

Mkdir: /opt: File Exists (1)

Thoughts on what this means, what I should do?

Thanks.

I had this error too. Apparently jailbreak installs a library in /opt/local/lib, but it doesn't check before creating this directory. This step fails the script in a non-obvious way.

You probably have an /opt already created if you've ever used DarwinPorts.

"rm -fr /opt" will wipe that out directory, but make sure there's nothing in there that you want.

This bug is fixed in tonight's 0.3 :)

Awesome. I just finished my jailbreak and I'm really impressed. You're going to make waves by taking a complicated hack and making it accessible to thousands of people who wouldn't be able to do it on their own.

Really cool stuff, congrats AriX

cant get icon to show on ipod

installation seemed to have gone as designed. Numerous restarts, but no installer icon showing. Checking via iphuc, there is Installer.app and a DemoApp.app in the ipod's Applications directory, so it appears to have loaded. Have restarted numberous times, still no icon. Any ideas?

Just wanted to clarify.

So I ijailbreak the iPod touch, does that void the warranty ?

If yes

Say I have to send it into apple, can I simply restore the iPod Touch and make them think it never got hacked ?

Thanks

WHEN DO WE GET .3 ?!?.

I am excited and I want to jailbeak my iPT ASAP!!! I have a list of applications to download. lol

Installing apps?

I just ran iJailbreak (the PPC version), and it worked. I now have Installer on my iPod, but i can't get any apps. Installer.app doesn't work on my computer, and I don't have WiFi.

Is there any other way to get apps on my iPod?
